When I was 3, I was hit and drove over by a car. The driver was never charged with anything and I was rushed to hospital with a broken spine, a brain haemorrhage and more injuries than imaginable. After 3 months, I went home. After 6 months, I was walking. After 2 years, I was running. I progressed so fast, the doctors telling me I may never walk again was almost impossible to comprehend. I got into football, however injuries, caused by the accident, prevented me from doing that. I can no longer run, jump or kick a ball. But I worked around it, I’ve never been the type to give up. I’m now playing wheelchair basketball for my county. This video means so much to me.

Every parent should share this with their children if they have any, with total focus on the message at hand without any electronic device or cell phones blocking these words of determination and focus from a man that is of God, that loves the pursuit of hard work and focus

I worked 7 years towards my basketball tryouts. I was easily top 3 in a 2000 student school. Then a week before tryouts, I got sick with acute bronchitis, a fever, and many feelings of fatigue. I only made single a. I am crying right now writing this, and have cried days and nights wondering why god did this to me. My parents were disappointed and they said they were proud but I was broken.

What a strong guy, so inspiring...this speech still gets me and i have listened to it a lot. that feeling of not being able to quit, that being the default action of your being. Only knowing how to keep moving because you have held yourself or been held back for one reason or another for such a long time that you would rather be broken into pieces before you stop moving forward. I love this kinda stuff.

I relate so much as a pretty young person still later in hs having my leg so hurt that doctors said I would not be able to run for the rest of my school years. Crushed me because that’s my dream to run and I have always listened to this man and I knew I was not letting this stop me. I got out and after half a year I was getting back to working hard. This video has helped me so much thank you

I needed this. I recently found a love for football. I started getting HUNGRY to play it, to do every single drill I could to just get a breath of football. I started loving going to practice, I worked my butt off every second we were practicing. Our team isn't the best, but we all have an extreme love for it. I recently got a mild concussion and I couldn't play. THis has been the toughest part of my life. My days of being a football player at this team are coming to an end. I am out and I just went to practice yesterday to watch. It was the most amazing feeling I have gotten. I saw EVERYONE working their ass off, and it was amazing. I also saw it from the coaches' point of view. Having that little self in it trying and WANTING to play just one more game, and not being able to, that made me HUNGRY. I go back to football next week and I can't wait. Thanks for listening I just needed to get this out.
