Brant, since discovering your videos about a month ago I have watched more fishing videos between your channel and Bama’s than I ever have. My nearest beach is four hours away, but I am living vicariously through you. Thanks for the videos. I really enjoy your personality and hope to meet you some day. Blessings to you. Take care of your leg.

I had a permit to fish a segment of the upper Grand Canyon. Permits were approved 3 months out well, and old knee injury required arthroscopic surgery. My surgery was done 48hrs before my permit....I hiked 13 miles and caught 24 inch trout for two days....I was 30 and a triathlete so I had some advantages. At 64, I got the same knee replaced. It was worth it.

I have the Saltist 4500 that was released back in 2016 and it is indestructible. I caught my PB redfish on that reel. I also own the Daiwa Fuego 3000 and the Daiwa BG MQ 3000 which has become my new favorite in shore light set up . I love Daiwa everything ! I am a believer . The saltist 4500 is built like a 5000 or 6000 size reel and it has the balls and fight power to compete with reels larger than that in my opinion .

100% I grew up in Pensacola and I totally took for granted the beaches for 20 years. I got married and moved to Middle GA and literally got depressed in part from not having the beach. I had to "catch" my new BG MQ 20000 in the water today...had to cast to find it...a stingray took my rod and reel in the ocean after breaking the cheap riveted rod holder..I was casting and wasn't watching...the rod was GONE when looked back...who knows how long it was gone but my rod after catching the line was WAYYY OUT in the gulf...I was lucky I found it by casting in the water with my jig...the stingray was huge and I finally got it in...almost lost a 450 dollar rig I've used only twice.
