Why do you get credit for footage? Wouldn't that be MLB and whatever network broadcast it? Yes it would.

Batters who lallygag between pitches are the worst. So glad batters are being limited to one time out per at bat in the upcoming season. Should be one time out per game!

Seriously, if I had pulled the antics MLB guys do at bats in my Rec league my coach would have yelled at me

They should only be able to call time out if there's an equipment malfunction or they're injured. No more timeouts for ridiculous reasons.

Zack is a no BS player, call him an odd duck, weird whatever the world could use more people with his straight forwardness.
Greinke is my fav post-Maddux pitcher.

I feel like the pitching has taken a huge turn now. I miss prime verlander and kershaw. Seems like the art of finesse is going away. Which isn’t a bad thing. I just miss the 2010s.

@@Darth_atrocious Feel ya there. I long for the 90s and 00s as well. We are in the era of the thrower, not really the pitcher. Sure, guys paint a few corners and Pitching Ninja highlights them, but, legit, Maddux, Mike Mussina. Jamie Moyer, Ek Duke, Mariano, guys were doing that on MOST of their pitches. Most. Even guys who were more upper mid tier and not truly elite, think, Al Leiter, Tim Hudson, even Rick Ankiel when he worked from the mound before the yips, Chuck Finley, these guys could pitch. They understand command, power, control and situations in ways guys just try to throw through now.

@@nathansands71 Dude, amen. Everything was so pro. His post pitch ready position always blew my mind. Reason why he won, something like 10-15 Gold Gloves in a row or something insane like that.
They can’t take their sweet ass time this year with the brand new, shiny ass pitch clock!!

I am a baseball purist in some regards, but I am so happy that the pitch clock is being implemented. The Manfred runner, otoh...
@tim.noonan

@@sgtleobella I wish they had done a progressive system with the extra innings baserunner. Tenth inning puts one on first, one on second in the 11th, third for 12th etc. Would get the same effect with increasing urgency as the game drags on. This is assuming it was inevitable. Obviously would be better if it never happened at all.
@sgtleobella

@@tim.noonan Yeah, I honestly wouldn't mind the Manfred runner if it was implemented in the 12th inning. Give teams a couple of extra innings to win the game without it, then go for it. The players like the rule, though, so I guess I should get on board. I just don't want to haha

Lmao one of a kind. Good ole Zach.
Really liked watching him in Milwaukee.
Pitch clock fixes this…. Hitters really shouldn’t even need the timeout because the main reason they take them is the pitcher sets then takes forever to try to throw the hitters timing off

I love that Zack can now call his own pitches and call himself off. The gift that keeps giving.

That was genius.. after a break he throws a fast ball and through his timing off. Genius
Wouldn't expect anything less from Zachariah
Take your sweet time.......pow right in da kissa
Why would the ump call that if he was in the box? What are (were) the rules?
@chimchu3232

Quick pitching has always been a gray area, even before the rule change, you had to wait for the batter to be reasonably set, and the pitcher is supposed to get the sign and go through with the normal pitching delivery. Zack rushed the sign and the delivery, and the ump determined that the batter wasnt ready and zack rushed through the sign too quickly.
I have relatives in Kansas City who say he is a very strange guy.
My fave Zack quote. There was a news conference when he was acquired by the Dodgers. A reporter asked him what he saw in the future (obviously meaning HIS future with the Dodgers) instead Zack responded "Flying Cars"!
Bro that’s my godfather
That's awesome. He was pretty late on that heater. 🤣🤣🤣
That's not an eephus lol. It's just a slow curve.
Cervelli was a great brave while he was here
“Greinke’s antics” aka social anxiety what hahaha
Well no more of that!
Fun fact about waiting: both the Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers were contracted to MGM. When it came time to negotiate a new deal, the Stooges walked into Louis B Mayer's office asking for more money. He told them to sit down and he'd be right back. They waited 15 minutes then left, thinking he forgot about them. They did not get a raise. Two months later the Marx Brothers walk into Mayer's office asking for more dough. Mayer tries the same thing on them. When he comes back 30 minutes later his assistant tells Mayer the Marx Brothers are still in his office. He walks in and the three of them (minus Zeppo I guess) are butt naked and have started a fire in Mayer's fireplace. They are taking papers from his desk and throwing them into the fire. According to Groucho they got naked and started the fire 5 minutes after Mayer left. The Marx Brothers got a new deal.
If you Eeph the us, you'll have a bad day.

Nothing wrong with pitching right away when the batter’s in the box. “Quick pitch”?
This will never happen again
Clearly a curveball, not an eephus
If that was an Eephus, 8t was the worst one ever thrown.
seemingly,...
Why did the ump call it a non-pitch?
That was not an Ephesus pitch
Last pitch wasn't ephus. 68 slow curve.
That was a curveball. Eephus has ridiculous drop and slower speed
That’s not an ephus, just a slow curve
