I finally caught my first drain pipe bass the other day on the full moon. It was in a walmart parking lot drainage pond. It was about 3 to 4 pounds, fat 19 inch female largemouth. Caught a couple more the same size and a few dinks out in the pond too. I spotted it first, watched it swim into the pipe and pitched a senko up the pipe to it. Never would have tried that had I not started watching Ty.

Started urban fishing because of Ty and a couple of others. Catching Bass in front of the YMCA on a Main Street was awesome. I can’t look at drainage pipes/ ditches the same anymore. It’s all about the Bass.

Sound travels at about 5 seconds per mile. "Three or four seconds" is pretty close. Kind regards.

Ever heard of a “bolt out the blue?” Lightning can strike up to 25 miles away! Nice fishing. 👏🏻

Ty…sound travels at 760 mph at ground level. Divide that out by 3600 seconds in an hour and that about 1/5 mile a second. If that lightening is 3-4 seconds away, that’s less than a mile away, not 3-4. I think it was a lot closer than you thought.

Wild how over fished that place is. The amount of shad the city puts in helps produce those big bass. I've caught a 9lber there.

I've learned a lot from watching you fish ty like fishing jigs more but being a little lighter on the action, really giving swim baits a try (which are now my favorite bait), and how close to weather events you have to fish to see their benefits, esp the floods

Divide the time between the flash and the thunder by 5 to get a rough idea of distance in miles. In other words 3 or 4 seconds is 3/5 to 4/5 of a mile away. ⚡⚡

Yeah his math was off….3-4 seconds is less than a mile (roughly a mile for every 5 seconds). That’s pretty close especially being by the lake.

God Bless you too, Ty. And God Bless everyone here. I would like to take this opportunity to Share The Good News of The Gospel. Our Blessed Hope, our Savior Jesus Christ. Do you know him? Do "you", ("whoever" is reading this), know Jesus? Even more, are you "Saved"? If Jesus were to return today, "now", would you be ready? Are you ready? That is the one question that you, and everyone, better know the answer to, because that is the most important decision you will ever make. Jesus is the "ONLY WAY TO SALVATION". There is no other way, "none". This "life" that you are living now, is a "limited" existence. The life after this is "ETERNAL", which brings us to another question: "Where do you want to spend eternity?" Well, you have only "two" choices: either "HEAVEN" or "HELL"! Not everyone will go to Heaven and likewise not everyone will go to Hell. It's your choice! It's always been your choice. Have you ever wondered why we all don't go to Heaven? Well, it's because of just one thing. But that "one" thing "separates" us all from God, and that one thing, is "SIN"! We are all born into sin, everyone is, and the Bible says that the wages (penalty) of sin is "Death". You see, because of our sins, when we all die, we are all "eternally separated" from God. But you know what? God Loves you so much that he made a way for you, for all of us. The Bible also teaches us that even though the penalty (wages) for our sins is death, we can gain SALVATION (a GIFT FROM GOD) through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. God made a way! He sacrificed his only son, for "you"! That's how much he Loves you. ROMANS 6:23 kjv For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Here's the GOOD NEWS, (THE GOSPEL) Jesus took your sins and paid your sin debt in full. He took all your sins, past, present and future, to the Cross, shed his Blood and literally DIED for your sins, was buried and then God raised him from the dead three days later. Anyone who believes in the finished work of Jesus Christ will be Saved. That's THE GOSPEL (which means GOOD NEWS). 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4 kjv 15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He paid the price so you don't have to. Jesus is the ONLY ONE who could. He is the ONLY WAY. JOHN 14:6 kjv 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. God gives you, all of us, this "GIFT", because he Loves you. How much does God Love you? Well, let me ask you this: "Could you sacrifice your only child?" That is exactly what our Heavenly Father did. He gave (sacrificed) his only begotten son, Jesus, for "you", for the "WHOLE WORLD"! JOHN 3:16-18 kjv 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Please, don't let Gods "sacrifice" (for you) be in vain. Jesus "died" for you. Please "Live" (eternally) for him.
