This is why we PREFER Ajijic to Chapala 🧐

Both Chapala and Ajijic are gaining mega popularity as two of the best towns for ex-pats to retire in Mexico. Don't get us wrong, Chapala is beautiful, but we kinda prefer Ajijic to Chapala 🤭 In this Mexico Travel Vlog, we take you on a journey by public bus from Ajijic, along Mexico's largest lake (Lake Chapala), to the fishing town of Chapala. We share the best things to eat, see and do in one day, as well as our honest opinion on why we prefer Ajijic to Chapala.🤩😍
Don't forget to stick around till the end, when we share our beautiful suite at Hotel Real De Chapala - it's STUNNING 😍🤩

Too bad you couldn't stay in Chapala longer. Lots more to see and experience. Cristiania Park is a treat. We find Chapala to be more walkable than Ajijic, but happy when newcomers go to Ajijic instead of Chapala, to not spoil the more authentic Mexican experience of Chapala. Cheers!

It's known as the second best weather in the world. During the day for most of the year it's in the 70's to low 80's F (more like 22-28 C during the day depending on the season)- cooler in the mornings and evenings in the "winter" and no humidity. The rainy season happens at night and the days are still sunny without much humidity. April and May can be a little hot I'm told - I've only been here since September.
