It got really dangerous for the faster cars (under 8 seconds). With the rubber base covering the asphalt the cars could launch ok but past half track where the rubber got thinner the cars slicks would pull up moisture from the asphalt. Cars were sliding all over the place at speed and at least 2 cars were destroyed in roll overs. They ended up having to cancel the event. Got to say I am a little alarmed by all the cracking I am seeing... I'd be checking my concrete tests to see what slump was used during the pour. Do they use blankets to cure in Florida for hot weather pours? I've poured over a million yards in my time and never seen that. Typically we see a few cracks when we cast around a column or other fixed in place structure but nothing like that. I've poured 2 hockey rinks and 3 gymnasiums and rarely ever see shrinkage cracks, maybe a couple after 3 months or so but then we either use plasticizer or a very low slump design mix. I'm just a commercial const super of 30 years giving some input out of concern. As long as his engineer is fine with the slump and strength break tests then it should be fine as rebar is what holds it together. I also hope that he didn't saw cut too early as the concrete will dry at a faster rate and every cut will end up as a 3/4 inch hill in my experience. I had to grind down a gym floor for a month because of this though luckily for me the saw cuts were spec'd so I wasn't held accountable. Sorry to be such a downer but I've also worked with the best in the industry in my day and my job was to check and make sure they didn't screw anything up. The best in the industry once tried to form building foundations 3 feet off where they were supposed to be and then came to me and asked why my trenching was out of line... it wasn't. Had another sub tell me to mind my own business as he'd been doing it this way for 35 years. I explained that doing it wrong for 35 years did not make it correct now and told him to fix it or I would, and deduct it from his contract. Anyhow, hope it's fine and turns out great.

I am from the UK and have never been to Florida but however the florida man in me has come out and thanks to you I grew a mullet... a very bushy mullet! I've never thought a mullet and regular intake of Mountain Dew released the bald eagles. I woke up this morning wondering if you uploaded and guess what i missed it by 7 freaking hours! tough break but I still made some time to watch this amazing content! keep bringing everyone great content like this and i'll keep drinking Mountain Dew

I can't EFFING WAIT! To see Leroy doin what he do again. I can't tell you how much I hope that his newfound fantabulousness makes you fellas want to perfect him further. I don't think he'll be what Mullet is, realistically, but hey, he could be absolutely competitive in the top of his class again and I WANT THAT!! Haha! Thanks so much for everything y'all do from the beautiful mountains (and world-class whitewater, nudge-nudge) of West By-God Virginia, home of the middle class and part-originators (along with NC, VA, TN, and any moonshiner hot spots I may have forgotten) of stock car racing!

I work in the construction industry. One great thing about going with concrete is that now you don’t have to worry about hydraulic fluid or solvents breaking down the asphalt. I’ve seen some wild degradation happen to binder and bitumen from that stuff.
