@@dooh it kinda does, lisa is only a sub vocalist so there are only a limited amount of lines she can cover so what will she do of jennie takes the only rap? will she takes the chorus like aiityl? she has a sweet voice but its only sub material. jennie takes the lead role in higher parts for example her E5 in ddududdudu or the C5s in aiityl. I want jennie to rap aswell because her rap in boombayah is what made me jennie biased but when there is only one rap in the song I see Lisa take it because jennie also takes a lead vocal role.

"Too much Nayeon" isn't the phrase that comes to mind because I love Nayeon: I'd say there is not nearly enough of anyone else. Each member of the group has a beautiful voice, and fans that want to hear more of them. Also singing and dancing at the same time is taxing on oxygen. When someone is forced to do that nonstop, they eventually end up suffocating, and sounding less than their best. For Nayeon, less than her best is still awesome. However, she's not the only top-caliber singer. So, why not let her share the load? Jihyo and Jeongyeon need more power lines. Dahyun should get more of the soft lines. The others should just get more lines in general.

However, she's been getting less and less rap parts while dahyun has gotten more. Dahyun has improved with her pronunciation while rapping. I feel like if Nayeon should get more when they're having a group activity they could have Compensates for the other members by giving them solo activities but no they don't let them shine in the group nor give them an opportunity outside twice :/ Nayeon is an ace but it's understandable why fans end up being unsatisfied when we barely get to see anything about the other members.

I’m still learning about twice but from an engineers perspective (just my opinion) so far I can definitely understand why nayeon gets a lot of lines. Her voice just translates really well in the mix. Obviously each track is different so each member has moments where their voice really shines (e.g Mina I think it is, when she hit the low tones in handle it or jihyo in perfect world) but I think nayeon just has a trustworthy voice in the studio. She’s got a bright voice but it’s not super thin so it’s easy to mix and sounds good. I see where the fans are coming from though because all the members sound better when it’s live, especially jeongyeon but it just has to work in the studio. I do think in a group of 9 going for as long as they have, the lines probably should be worked better by now and they should know how to work with each voice but just from the studio side even though I don’t completely agree with it, i can definitely understand it.

I feel like this is a staple for every group. That one member fits the group concept the best and sets the tone/mood of their music hence a lot of lines. i.e. Minnie - GIDLE, Yeji - Itzy, Jennie - BP, Mia - Everglow It's just that Twice has a lot of members so there's a much noticeable difference in distribution compared to other groups who only has 4-6 girls

All of them deserve more. If you look into most of their songs, a good amount or maybe even 100% of it is dominated by Nayeon alone. They make song rap parts 10 seconds out of the whole 3-4 minute songs. And with Jeongyeon, depending on what you’re talking about, still gets more lines than Sana, Momo, Tzuyu, Mina(sometimes), Chaeyoung, and Dahyun.

Nayeon and Chaeyoung are not the only two people in the whole group. what about the other 6 sngers that are not named Chaeyoung and Dahyun? Are they not in the group? The title track is where everyone will get the introduction of twice and sometimes their only knowledge of them. All of the big producers are not working on the b tracks. Those are reserved for the girls to make their own stuff or for lesser known big producers to make music. The title is produced and lines are distributed by someone else and they assign it to the girls. People are using data that's not even relevant as their examples.

She is my bias! 2nd of all, she doesn’t want to go solo because she and the group decided that they like each other and want to stay together as long as possible so no one is allowed to do their own thing in the risk of breaking up the group. 3rd, she is the most loyal/loving of the Once’s. She personally speaks all the time about how we are the ones that keep her grounded and why she loves us so much. Don’t talk about deserving. She stays in the group because she wants to. She’s not the one asking for the lines and I’m not targeting her. No one should be targeting the twice members for anything. It is not their doing. The producers/songwriters makes all the decisions when it comes to the line distributions. The main focus is that it should be more fair/even. I personally am avid of both sides; that it should be more equal because they have so much talent, but also that it could stay the same because it’s working. I don’t know how if depth you’re looking at line distribution but look at the past few songs’ on KZread about it. Half of the group gets below 15% maybe while Nayeon gets more than 25%. That’s 1/4 of the song for 1/9 of the members.

As a blink I think nayeon doesn't dervese any hates she is lead vocalist and center and most important thing is that she fits every twice songs perfectly I came to know about twice because of nayeon and her amazing vocals but in their recent album jyp has focused more on Mina tzuyu Sana dahyun and chaeyoung except title track of the song in other b sides tracts nayeon and jihyo barely has gotten chores part this is my opinion tho

This is business, as long as it works JYP will keep Nayeon as the main of the group, Jihyo may be the leader but Nayeon is the queen, always in front, talking more than anyone else in interviews, singing more lines, etc. I also think that this has a lot to do with Nayeon personality, she is very reliable, takes the lead, not the best singer nor the best dancer but very good at both, very good visuals and so long she didn't need a break for stress, so from a company perspective she is a win-win.

We should respect Nayeon because it's not her fault. Even though other members are treater unfairly, it is still not her fault. Let's just appreciate this pretty bunny

I think fans often confused centre & visual roles. The centre is the person who best fits the concept of the whole group. Sometimes it’s not the visual as Tzuyu is pretty, but has more of a mature look. As Naeyeon has more of a vibrant & energetic, youthful look.

@@pxrplehairgirl5030 tje Face of tje group is still Nayeon. Face of the group means your whole persona reflects the group. Who is the person that fits well with Twice's image? Tzuyu is far from that while Nayeon is bright & lively thats why she's the face of the group since Twice is bright and lively. Visual is different from the face of the group

For I can't stop me , they should have given Jeongyeon another verse of the chorus so that it could have been balanced. I mean Twice have 3 talented vocalists. I mean the other members are also talented, but Nayeon , jihyo and jeongyeon are the best vocalists. So it's fair they give jeongyeon more lines

I would agree 100%, but something about waiting to hear her sing on the 3rd chorus gave it more contrast and made her voice even more impactful. It would be nice to hear her voice utilized more altogether.

@Miss Midnight I just hate the position called "center", I thought everyone was supposed to shine and stuff and it's an kind of more opinionable than other positions, cause at first when I started twice in the TT era I thought Momo and jeongyeon was center and all I could remember was momo, it's like it's an favorite thing, and who gets the most of everything or shine brighter, I just wish and this applies to any group that the "center" thing is trash.

The first time I started listening to twice's music I thought Nayeon was the leader cause she always had more lines,always started their songs etc but Jihyo was my bias because of her awesome voice and her beauty,also noticed that Nayeon usually sings the chorus too even though they said that Jihyo is was supposed to be singing most of twice's choruses as the main vocalist,also nayeon was treated like the group's visual instead of Tzuyu

I fell in love with jihyo voice... when I first saw twice I was like who is that beautiful girl with a beautiful voice and discovered she was jihyo..

Jeongyeon's voice is my favorite and it hurts seeing how little lines they give her. I'm sure is only because between the 3 vocals, Nayeon is more popular in terms of visuals. More lines = more screen time, more center position. Having the most beautiful member (considered by most Koreans) in the spotlight means more public and posible new fans. I understand it, it's a good strategy, but they over do it a lot.

Vocal technique matters a lot more than having a cute and bubbly voice . Eg blackpink rosé is the most skilled but Jennie has a girl crush voice so they get mostly equal positions in line distributions..i like jisoo's voice but she doesn't have good technique that's why she gets low But that's not the same in twice the vocal ranking is jihyo, jeongyeon and nayeon.. remember again I'm not talking at the voice

Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung is so underated

I'm all for professionalism and musical integrity. But if the producer really said that Nayeon's voice best suits Twice's general concept and image, I'd rather think that the voice that best suits Twice general concept and image are the voices of ALL of the members of Twice. They should all have their chances, if not in all songs, then at least don't deny it from them in every song.

Reading comments at this time, and realizing that Chaeyoung has a long rap line now in their comeback, makes me happy, she really deserve it. I hope Jeongyeon will get hers too.

Fun fact : Nayeon was the most popular trainee, she shooted commercials and modeling, participated in few music videos, she did all that before Sixteen...first fanpage was created in 2014. And she was the first member of Twice. So...

I feel like Nayeon proves why she is the center and gets the most lines. She is honestly incredibly talented on another level people don’t give her enough credit imo. She had an EXCELLENT voice! All of their latest comebacks her ad lips and high notes are just impeccable. She also has gorgeous visuals and the best and most consistent stage presence. She deserves her shine because she has the the true talent to back it up. All of the girls are especially talented but I just believe Nayeon has that thing that you just can’t teach. She’s the total package.

@@progaming_2649 I understand what you’re saying but think about how many comebacks Twice has. They have released an UNHOLY AMOUNT OF MUSIC OVER THE YEARS! A few of the girls have had to step out at times because of how draining it is. And they have to give consistent performance through it all because their livelihoods depend on it. So the one with the best WORK ETHIC AND DRIVE is the one the floats to the top. Nayeon is the eldest and the most consistent with stage performance and overall image of the group in interviews photoshoots etc. She carries all of this on her shoulders pretty much. I think the reason is because she is honestly the one that draws people in the most a lot of times and she has a great work ethic. There’s nothing wrong with her getting the most lines if she handles them the best.

@@progaming_2649 in my opinion not all of them deserve to get a lot of lines. A majority of the group struggles to sing on certain parts that have been given to them which means they don't need that many more lines. Jeongyeon is the only one who would need more lines since she's a lead vocalist.

I agree that instead of listening only to the main track, fans should listen to the b-side as well because you can hear some creative difference than the usual comeback mumbo jumbo. But I also think that it isn’t right to not be creative on the main track since that is what most ppl listen to/pay attention to.

what do you mean? I listen to all of Twice's side tracks and with a couple of exceptions, the line distributions are nearly identical to the title track. Sure Jeongyeon SOMETIMES gets more lines in bsides but I wouldn't try to claim that the distribution is vastly different between bsides and title tracks....

Short answer: they do have favorites

I just want to see the other members shine as well. Twice cannot be two people , it is the entire group glowing together

Nayeon has a very dominant face because even though I don't follow twice very much but I just recognise her so easily because of her looks

I've always wondered how they can limit Jeongyeon as they do. She is always so steady and strong with her vocals and the rock of Twice. Ah well

Nayeon is the face of twice, that is why she gets many of lines in their songs.

Honestly i agree with their producers. Vocal tone is way more important than skill in the kpop industry, Even though jeongyeon has more skill, nayeon's vocal tone always fits twice's concept the most. Even with sana for example, she's obviously not as good as jeongyeon (still amazing) but sana's vocal tone fits twice more, so she has more parts. All of them are talented, but tone is definitely the most important. In their b sides, a lot of the songs suit other members more and distribution is better, however for the title tracks, they always stick with the bright tone of nayeon . Producers never think about what is fair, they only think about what fits their sound

Guys, in a group with so much beauty and talent it's not that Nayeon "brings the money". That's how it goes: you are popular because you are promoted, not the other way around! Nayeon always gets the opening parts, is shown the most in MVs and is in most video thumbnails. She also has more vocal parts than Jihyo and jeongyeon, although her voice is not superior. She is promoted the most and that's why she gets the most views, she is not better (or worse) than the others.

Yes and No. JYP is a little biased toward Nayeon, but she is indeed amazing. The charisma and leadership is obvious. Twice is what it is today because of the division of leadership between Nayeon and Jihyo; Jihyo is the official leader of the group, but like when on halloween Mina went on stage on twice's aniversary, we saw both of them taking ger hand and guiding everyone. Still, twice needs to have a more even line distribution, Nayeon can't keep singing half of the song, otherwise she will get an undeserved hate towards her, like g idle's Soyeon suffers. All the members need to be treated fairly and be given the chance to shine.

You know why this fandom still strives? This mismanagement is the reason. The only reason why most fans go crazy in supporting fans is to help their idols in hopes of change in treatment 🙄

She is not even my bias but since the first episode of sixteen I knew that she will be part of the group. She has the brightest and bubbliest energy and visual among all of them. I can feel her “hey look at me” type of confidence while I can sense some shyness on all the others. She gives a strong start.

I understand how unfair it must feel, but you also have to understand - take me for example, I was brought in as a ONCE because of Nayeon's constant familiarity. I was able to remember and lock onto them more because she was always present. Having a strong gateway into a group is AMAZING for the whole band. I think we have to trust that the company is fully aware netizens will go ballistic if they don't constantly balance things... they really are going to be doing the best they can at all times.

there’s a reason why there is a vocal line, a dance line, and a visual line.

Learned about twice from 'The Feels' and first thing I thought was that Nayeon was leader of group but also saw Jihyo as favorite member. got addicted to their music 😵 and started watching twice videos now understanding Dahyun is the Dub(u). Also even in the other songs Nayeon seems to dominate the songs. Maybe it's cuz she's the oldest. Would've never known Jihyo was the group leader if I didn't read something about that

Actually, I think this is not that bad. Since her voice is the one who fits twice's concept the best. But despite this, ONCE always hate on Nayeon, and they compliment every single member but Nayeon. They act as if she wasn't there. This way, you're not ONCE, you're ot8. So please, stop hating and sleeping on this queen, because she deserves the best this world has to offer. @@user-mx4op6do4f In feel special she got the whole rap verse. Yes, chaeyoung got the opening line but she's the main rapper. Ever since twice debut dahyun has been getting more rap parts than chaeyoung. I'm not saying that's bad or it's dahyun's fault but let's be honest, chaeyoung doesn't receive enough attention from the company.

Its not that she always opens, many groups have a set "opener", it's the unfairness in the line distribution

I love twice os much, but the other members need to get more praise!! ESPECIALLY JEONGYEON!!!! Her voice is beautiful and is a great attribute to twice, they just need to take more advantage of it! Every member of twice needs to shine a lot for then they do right now, they're all beautiful

Nayeon voice literally suits the song and I agree wth the reason why she is always singing the start. And most importantly she is the CENTER of Twice:) Just like Jennie,she start the song too and it went really well✨If you hate on nayeon just cause of this,pack your stuff and leave 😌😌 but I do agree that JYPE need to give the other 8 members to shine too:) Twice is the best and will always be!! These are just my opinion btw🤩🙃

I think it's because they don't want her vocals to overshadow the others. If she does too well, it would invite criticism towards the other members and distract from the song.

@@LilieLira It's because Twice songs are easy. E.g in Red Velvet RnB songs, Wendy gets the most lines as the best vocalist. But with Twice, only 3% of the song is hard, so it's pointless to get a good singer to sing the majority, when the average singer can do it just as well, but with a more recognisable bright tone that fans prefer. (Personally, I find Nayeon's voice too nasally)

Its because as the most powerful voice you want to save her for the part of the song with the most energy. Its basic song structure you want the energy to go from low to high from the intro to the chorus, starting with Jihyo is just a blast of power from the start compared to the other voices

I would prefer Nayeon over Jihyo anyday. Jihyo does have good voice but Nayeon always catches everyone’s eye

I HOPE NAYEON WILL HAVE SOLO
