The lag is definitely there , but it’s manageable as long as you stick to simple apps like what’s app etc

I have had this phone for 2 weeks and absolutely love it. I barely use it which is what I wanted to get it. No more doom scrolling. I disabled you tube and any other distracting apps including the browser. Be in the moment always

I just got mine and I am happy. I have not quite quit social media, but rather I use it when I am finished with my day, and ready to sit at the computer for maybe under an hour. I am even reading more now, and being more productive. I still keep the Pixel 6 around for when I travel just for the camera. I put a camera grip on it, and bust it out like a large camera only for pictures.

I wanted buy dumb phone and then I looked for old blackberrys and Nokia but they don't support UPI and 4g Sim that was the problem but this looks good best of both worlds

I just ordered one for myself. There are important things I need to do on my smartphone, but a lot of the time I just spend hours on unnecessary social media activity. I could probably save one month worth of time in a year by quitting scrolling. I like the idea of an android flip phone. This way I can still rely on it when I need to use data and google something, look up the directions, reply to an important message quickly or even listen to music through Spotify while it is inconvenient enough that I don't want to use social media on the phone. Plus, a lot of things I do on my smartphone can be easily done on my computer

Possible, there’s aren’t any new security updates from awhile , also not all apps are optimised except official google apps, for example Facebook keeps crashing

My son just bought me the Cat. I'm a bit scared of it because I've had my G3 Nokia flip phone for 18 years and am a little leary of new things. I haven't got it up and running yet and am still using my old comfy taped together, broken, "flip phone". I'm kind of paranoid of new tech and will put black electrician tape over the "view holes". "They" won't see me. Yes I know, stupid "old" person, but I'm just not trusting after 70 years of living. I thought this video was good and informative, but I don't need a computer on my phone as I have a laptop at home. I may even like the Cat once I use it for a few weeks. Thank you for a good vid.

I found your video and look forward to using my new cat, but I’ve managed to forget my pin and now I cannot get into it. Every combination I’ve tried has failed and I’ve gotten to the point of wanting to return it to Amazon. All of the online instructions on button combinations to open a factory reset screen result in a “No command” graphic of a dead android. Exasperated and seeking help. Any advice would be appreciated. I have this phone and on my plan I have a hot spot so if I need to check my banking I hotspot my iPhone in case. I carry my iPhone turned off in my edc for the camera and if I’m expecting an email or digital payment

I bought this for my husband who has a terrible time with smart phones, swiping the touch screen etc. We have been able to set everything up so that he really not need to do any swiping except for turning off the alarm. He uses his phone as his alarm clock and so far it seems the only way to turn it off when ringing is to open the phone, swipe up, find the clock feature and turn off the alarm. Is there a better/easier way to do this?

Those apps are very much unusable because of the small screen , the apps are not updated for this version of android and also this size of screen

I love this phone but CAT should have gone for a 2.8 inch screen instead of the 2.4 unit. Not that it would have enhanced the touch navigation or handling (as the purpose is just to limit those activities) but to allow easier readability of the text, especially when your eyes are not that great anymore. Don't know if the screen/text zoom functionality of Android has been optimized for such a small screen.

It’s impossible to your social media apps on this , Facebook crashes because the app is not optimised for android go, and Insta takes forever to load , KZread works perfectly since it’s a google app, that’s the best part lol. Android go should support you as long as you do minimal things on it , if you try to load on too many apps , it gets slow, I think it should be fine for another 2 years. I have never updated my phone since I got it , because I have seen peoples CAT phones getting stuck during an update and crashing

Ton of lag, only basic apps work smooth, like google apps , most apps aren’t updated or optimised for this version of android, hence the lags. Battery is average, just like a usual android phone, I get all day battery life with normal use

f22 pro is better and powerful decide as it has Android 12 and not the go edition. Only thing is it's hard to get in India.

Hey , would this phone be good for using a SD card with over 100gbs of music saved ti it? Would you think it'd get much slower with that many files to scroll through, &, would playlists be easy to make and navigate with say VLC player ? Also just wondering if it's a deterrent from say Facebook & KZread because content addiction is certainly a real thing 🙈 really hope those two don't work well at all on this phone

The screen is too small to enjoy any content , so you don’t have to worry about social media, and the Facebook app keeps crashing too lol because. Phone would definitely get slow with that kind of data on it , I would stick to Spotify, navigation won’t be a problem as you can use the physical keys to navigate too!

I usually put it for charge overnight, it charges like a regular android phone , I would say 2-3 hours for full charge, you get all day battery backup with minimal use, I never watch videos on it, so not very sure about video playback time

Battery ain’t great, at the end of the day it’s an android smart phone in the shell of a flip phone , so you cannot compare it to a Nokia that has a very basic display and operating system, I get about all day battery life. I have a 16 gb memory card

Might consider getting this to distance myself from social media. How much time does it take to charge from 0 to 100? And how long does the battery last?

Charges like a regular smartphone, definitely not fast charging, gives all day battery life with regular usuage, sometimes lasts even 2 days

Yes , Bluetooth works fine , cellular connection also works good , but I would say it’s totally to do with your carrier, I have heard complaints about bad network, but I haven’t faced any issues yet

Would you say the thickness of the s22 is discouraging? I am considering a tiq mini q5 or an s22. They are both just about equal in every way but the s22 is much cheaper but thicker.

Thickness is definitely discouraging, but you eventually get over it, also serves the whole purpose of being discouraging to use and staying away from it. You will tend to keep it away from you on a table instead of your pocket
