I really hope someone sees your channel who would want to produce a full, big-screen documentary with you. I think I've said this before but I'll say it again. Cecelia's videos are consistently outstanding. The storytelling, videography, music, editing and narration are really exceptional beyond this platform. What could be mundane and finite in content is transformed into engaging short-form stories with the qualities I mentioned previously, of fully cinematic caliber. Huge fan from the first day I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Cecelia's channel.

Being from northern Norway myself, above the polar circle, but certainly not as extreme as Svalbard, I know these places can be good, but you need a purpose for being there, a job, family, good friends, hobbies etc. something, like if you love snowmobiling ... Living alone with not much to do during the long cold and dark winters, most people will be much better off other places.

I explored and was going to move further remote. I’m from London & love cities. I love the two extremes. Remote places mean it’s not safe to be alone. The city is more lonely. My health made the decision for me. Not small town, where you have to have been born there, but moors and forests and avalanches of snow. Or my dangerous, broken inner city. Urbex or barren wilderness. Wolves or guns. I love people, I love experience, I love rugged beauty.

Really nice to see people hanging out at such a remote place. In military, I was at 69 degree north, one of the northernmost military bases there is. Longyearbyen is way north of that, located at 78 degree north. After a very cold winter with lots of nights outdoor, two guys in my platoon wanted me to join them on a one week ski trip on Svalbard. I declined, finally we had week off after a really cold winter. My buddies went, I think my warm days in Oslo was better at the time, but yeah, in retrospect I should gone to Svalbard, but having one more week sleeping outdoor in Arctic winter was not easy to do. Far more pleasant staying at a cabin, than sleeping in a tent with polar bears lurking around. BTW, there are more polar bears than people on Svalbard.

I live in Alaska - it's not quite as remote as this, but my biggest reason for selling everything and moving here is privacy, solitude, colder climate, natural beauty. I had to be close to civilization for work.. But, the long term goal is to buy remote land further north - build an offgrid home, and work only 6 months out of the year. Living in the slow lane is something that's hard to explain. But i feel it's the way humans were meant to live when you're in the thick of it.

Bugs, monster horseflies and mosquitoes in summer! The next was West Coastal 54th parallel, Ton's of snow, lots of bugs in summer. Abd lots of rainy days. I'm a warm weather person. The fortitude of people in the North is exemplary.

I love living vicariously through you. I absolutely love your channel with the amazing views that I myself will probably never experience except through a TV screen. The Northern lights, while we have had them here in Toledo, Oh. It is EXTREMELY rare. When I saw it I didn’t even know what it was and it scared me at first. My husband and I, while we share most of the same interests, have differing ideas on where we would love to live. While he wants to live in the tropics which are incredibly beautiful, I w have decided that I would love to live on Svalbard. So I guess it’s safe to say, Toledo is our compromise. However there really isn’t anything beautiful about it

Thank you so much for sharing your life and the beautiful arctic. I'm 66 and find myself feeling so grateful to be able to explore our world through other's eyes. The internet is truly a gift that my children's generation grew up with, making the world so accessible. I live in a tropical country, so seeing the northern lights has been on my bucket list for the longest time. I’ve had an eye on going to Svalbard because of that, since most other options would require a tedious process to get a visa, with no guarantee that it won’t just be denied. You love freezing weather and isolation...? Are you mentally doing okay? No sane person wants that. People are social creatures, no matter how much you or others want to convince yourself you'd like to live isolated. All you would see every day is white(snow) and flatness or maybe mountains. People also need sunshine or you'll get those depressing winters like in Norway and it will affect you mentally. There's bound to be no fauna either... The fact that you said you wouldn't live there permanently proves to me you just like the aesthetics part of freezing weather and sceneries.

There’s not extreme heat in Florida, it’s not a desert. The land is a peninsula with constant air flow and light wind. I live in Miami and it rarely goes above 92 degrees, while summer in NY can be 105, more humidity, with no airflow.

SO STUNNING - I make KZread videos in a similar spirit as yours but live in a wildly different landscape and environment, the high desert -- AND, it's so beautiful to see the similarities. Like you, so many of the aspects of this incredible land that tends to turn people off is what pulls me in -- it's rawness, its extremes, the solitude. The nature, the land, and this way of life facilitates so much incredible meaningful substance, harmonisation, and sense of connection (to self and the world) that are such magic and medicine in the world of today. I can't tell you how much I appreciate finding other creators that offer narratives around finding success of substance and inner fulfilment in living alternatively to the conventional or mainstream -- narratives that are rooted in aspects that to me are so grounded and real - land, nature, people/community. YES! Thank you - keep up the good work!💙💙💙
