There you go, you've solved the problem. The PS5 is just a PS4 Pro 2. There are 50 million players sticking with the PS4 because there's no compelling reason to upgrade. If, upgrade is the right word to use. The current gen is redundant, it brings nothing to the table. I'll wait and see what the 10th generation has to offer. If consoles are still a thing at that point.

I'm still using my PS4 pro KH3 edition that I got in 2019 as I don't see the point in upgrading I do also have a gaming pc which was high end for 2017 but mid range now lol but I there's no reason other than final fantasy 16 that makes me want a ps5 as all the other games I'm interested in are still getting ps4 versions that run very well on the pro model

60 FPS, very little or no loading times. Two very compelling reasons to upgrade, and aside from the PS5-only games* I've enjoyed, are the primary reasons I've enjoyed my PS5. *Regardless of PC availability, they are still console-exclusive to PS5.

I'm fine with this gen. People can buy used consoles if they really want to get into current gen. Edit: when gta 6 comes out its going to be hard to find a console.

Its true, it always aggravates me when games keep getting held back by the previous generation. To make it even worse, even if the games were not held back by the previous gen, some would still be held back by the Series S. We definitely got played. Dope video and vibes, I would suggest having the music a little lower. I can hear you fine but the music does feel like its fighting for attention. Looking forward to the next vid.

you do know sony is making ps 5 pro not ps6 dont lump sony and microsoft in the same mix and GOD OF WAR released 9 novembre 2022 and the console sales are on track with ps4 gen in sales numbers

It's not even just cross-gen titles, since most current-gen releases are playable on PC. Nearly every Xbox title launches simultaneously on PC, and Sony titles are showing up at an increasing rate. I got a PS5 about 6 months before GoT dropped on PC. Do I regret it? Not really. My PC isn't amazing, so sometimes buying it for PS5 ends up being a better choice. However, I definitely agree with the sentiment that this generation is lackluster.

VERY lackluster. It’s mainly from way to many remakes and games not being specifically made for this generations hardware.

Im enjoying my Series X and the roadmap of games coming this year and next year look very interesting to me.

Yea just cleaned my xbox one x|s, still works great and I dont see a reason to upgrade. Especially since I have a pc

Definitely one of the better console generations there!

Despite owning a ps5 since January 2021, I only buy cheap used physical ps4 games. The ps5 games are not even worth being called current gen. They look a bit better and run significantly worse on the ps5 compared to native 1080p ps4 games played in BC mode.

you are SO right. it's going all digital eventually anyways.....sad but true. we are at the end of the console (disc) generation as we know it. it's cheaper (for companies to distribute) and they will have full control over access and game licensing (and will not lose revenue over used games being resold). gamestop will eventually phase out. the peak console generation is almost over. just glad i experienced it from beginning to end. we don't know how good we had it, to be honest.

and ALSO, the memory for newer consoles is horrendous. games are using more and more storage and the new consoles just don't give us a lot of storage. memory cards are a thing of the past. does seem like PC (steam) is the way to go. with modding and such, you can get SO much more out of your games. but what do i know, i'm just (an old school) gamer.

Farthest thing from the truth. The devs are always getting the short end of the stick, ESPECIALLY AAA devs since they’re always being forced to make changes to their games they probably don’t want to. Blame the publishers not the devs!
