I disagree with his definition of comedians. They may not be stand up comedians but some are comedians.

To a stand up... Stand up comedians are comedians and everyone else just "does --comedy/improv/acting"... you not liking or not being keen to that prevailing stance amongst people in the business doesn't change it.

They are sketch comedy writers and comedic actors. They are comedians, just not professional. A professional comedian is a stand up.
