I lived there for a while. Loved it. Sports fans are nuts and almost as entertaining as the teams. For example. When they greased the lamp poles to prevent people from climbing them a local donut shop made a vertical glazed donut to commemorate it. And fans STILL found a way to climb lamp posts Covered in crisco.

I appreciate that Chuck doesn't buy into the separating the art from the artist entirely. Was OJ a great player? Yes. Given the deplorable things he did should we enshrine his play separate from that? No. This isn't some cancel culture spiel, this is a person doing a vile and unforgiveable action and it should affect his legacy/reputation. If you continue to applaud his contributions, then you're not punishing him and sending a message to future athletes I don't want to hear about how it's unfair that one action can ruin a person's life/reputation. There's plenty of common sense to go around because so few opt to use it.

Today's Charles Barkley is not the Charles Barkley of the 80's & 90's. He had alot of people upset with alot of comments he made in reference to race issues that were current in America. I can say he has matured alot and his views have changed a bit

I remember I read about a teacher saying they don't want Steph Curry to come speak at their school and talk about how the kids can do anything, because in reality he probably wouldn't be in the NBA as a 6'2" point guard if he didn't have a dad in the NBA. Now obviously Steph worked hard, but the reality is the path he took is not the path that's going to work for 99% of kids. It's good to see athletes tell kids the truth that being in the NBA is not a realistic dream, but being a doctor or an engineer is.
