@@Car_Fanatic Pretty sure James has already done the car ownership tour already, but he hasn't got that many as he lives in London and hasn't got the space. He sold his Ferrari... has a Tesla and a hydrogen car, but he drives a Fiat Punto. The other two live in the country on big estates, so they have room for big barns.

To quote every car guy ever " I have big plans for that someday."

Honestly my favourite car there is the old peugeot. I feel everyones got a mustang or MG or something in a barn. That peugeot is the most unique thing in there!

I like them too I spent a bit of time in North/West Africa, every second car was a Peugeot, I believe there are still a lot around

Honestly, these are the kind of videos that I love most from the GT/TG hosts. I love hearing about their collections, what they loved, and what really impacted them over their years in the industry.

What a nice collection of Righthand drive motorcycles.

I was a kid in the US in the late 1960’s. My friends mom bought a Triumph in the 1960’s. I loved how fun and sporty it was. She was a prematurely gray lady and it seemed like a midlife crisis, but, she had fun and took us for rides in it with the top down. We lived in the Northeast US and summers were not long, but it was a great car.

In 1972, my mum and dad drove an MGBGT from Toronto Ontario Canada to Vancouver BC. They documented the entire journey in an amazing journal, and lots of photos. Seeing that car, makes me want to track down the original car they drove and buy it back for my dad (who is now 82!)

I once caught the train from Vancouver to Toronto. It definitely was an incredible journey with lots of photos. One day I think I might go and track down that exact train so I can buy it back for myself....

I absolutely love seeing these "behind-the-curtain" exposés of things we may not have seen on Top Gear or Grand Tour, but also some things we have seen and are pleasantly reminded of the laughs, smiles and fun from those long ago episodes 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 Thank you Richard, you and your other two "idiot" mates are my heros 🙂🫶🏻

My dad used to own one in yellow. I remember when I was younger before he sold it I used to just sit in the garage and stare at it for hours. Now I'm 18 and I'm trying to buy one

My brother had one, formerly owned by Neil Peart the drummer from Rush, he commuted on it into Toronto, it was, ahem, not the most comfortable thing, I had no idea how exotic or desireable that bike was at the time.

The MGBGT is a great touring car. I drove one from Florida to Vermont for someone who had bought it there but didn't have the time to drive it back himself. Very comfortable with lots of luggage room. As it was verrry used, we had lots of trouble (tires, muffler, voltage regulator), but we had a terrific time in a wonderful sports car.

The cars are amazing. The collection astounding, but the presentation style - is simply put - superb. Nobody does it better. Interesting, whimsical, informative and exceptionally entertaining. Mr. Hammond is unparalleled. He displays all of the qualities of a May presentation without the not-too-subtly hidden curled lip. Capturing the authoritative, take it to the bank factuality of a Clarke pontification without the pontificating. Please do this forever, Mr. May.

Honestly, Richard Hammond and Chris Harris are my two favorite car journalists \ presenters. Their energy is the same. Pure passion for motoring, old and new, with the ability to convey it to the audience. I would love to see Harris and Hammond do something together

Coming from classic car background to JDM and back again, I absolutely love the MG B GT. We've always had MGs in the family and they are honestly one of the best handling little cars. My dad had and MG A and then a very special MG B from the Paris motor show. He later sold this and went on to own 2 MG C's that he restored over a 10 year period. After selling the last one in 2020 I'm feeling the itch to get a B myself.

i hope Richard knows hes living his best life not just for himself but for all of us not bright enough or fortunate enough to end with the chance to own and drive so many wonderful machines.. thanks for sharing your today with those of us who will never have your tomorrow! Cheers!

Everything in life comes down to chance from the moment of conception onwards, intelligence has almost nothing at all to do with financial success, a lot of the richest people around are also some of the dumbest, for those born into it when you start that high up it's almost impossible to fail, and these days the average person has some sort of degree therefore the majority must be of average intelligence, the best we can do is try to influence our chances with our decisions and actions but in the end it still always comes down to chance. I agree with the sentiment though!

How is he , living his best life truly benefiting us , it doesn't.

A big part of why I love the 3 of you, but esp you Hammond, is how you talk about cars.. you have a way of making them come alive, sort of like having an out of body experience where you feel yourself in the wind, in the moment.. I will always love cars, and hope to own one someday, because of you. Thank you.

If I had access to that, I'd build a small flat inside and just live in the barn with the cars like Maverick with his airplane hangar.

We met when you were recording TG in the Isle of Man about twenty years ago. Two bikes you we're enthusiastic about then were the GSXR and the Sportster (which you thought was a bit of a bargain at the time). Glad you've not lost a drop of your enthusiasm. :-)

The Peugeot truck woke me up. I hope to see more of it in the future!

As an MG lover I'm pleased to see you giving love to the MGB GT. Mine puts a smile on my face the whole time that I'm driving it. It's just right. 👍

I want to also say that I often see MG enthusiasts running their cars down Highway 95 in Nevada. I see other groups once in a while, but the MG crowd have regular 5-10 driver convoys tearing up the Mid-West desert highways... Very very cool little cars. Unbelievably cool.

As common as the MGB GT is, I own 2, it still manages to bring a smile to people's faces when they see it, the one that actually works anyway. It's quite loud, not very efficient and not all that quick but it's so much fun to throw around a corner feeling like you're doing 100 when you're actually doing 40

Never thought of that, however - Richard Hammond is the most interesting, the most skillled and the most auto-enthusiastic of The Three I’ve just felt his love towards cars, that they use, and this always was really pleasant to watch

It hurt seeing the 911 gone. That, and a BMW 2002, are my dream cars. Be well, and have fun.

the 390GT is one of my all time favourite cars. it always has been. I remember in the original top gear episode it was blue but that minted green colour just looks absolutely gorgeous

This is the not fashionable kind of tour that I love. Great (and very unexpected) to see the little MG back on the screen. I haven't heard of it since its appearance on TG 7 years ago

"It's awful, but I love it" is pretty much how I feel about all of my favorite vehicles lol

It was great to meet Richard Hammond on his tour of South Africa when he stayed at my family’s Lodge. Very Pleasant. He was interested in my father’s vehicles as well 👍

It feels like Jezza loves cars mainly for the thrill of driving. May loves the engineering and quirks. Hammond is more of the romantic who builds relationships with his cars, and every car means something to him, every journey is special. Out of the three he always can deliver a story about a car

The classic restoration rule: don't start a second restoration until the first is done or the second will never get done; that rule seems to have been broken a number of times here. ;)

I want to see the Riviera in the same green. I want to see it slammed down, and tuned properly with that supercharger. I want to see Hammond put that beast into a show. That monster deserves respect. It deserves to be shown to the world!

Anytime Richard talks I listen, he is such a humble person and arfter watching Richard for almost my entire life I feel like I have evolved with him

I really love all the members from the original Top Gear, the holy trinitiy of Top Gear Hammond, May & Clarkson. But I have to admit Hammond was & still is my favorite guy in the series, maybe because we have the similar taste in cars & bikes. Grew up watching the show... Yes the MGB! Love the Sebring look MGB. My brother in law has one sitting in a barn and I may just may take it on.

The "boat tail", for about 40 years I have always wanted to take one and cut 14 to 18" out of the hood/ front end length. I think this would make the car look more like the "Pony" car i think it was meant to be. Just a thought. Thanks for the tour!!

That Land rover series one could be reused as a Tow vehicle for the cars and the Peugeot Van could be a parts Van and for racing there perfect support vehicles and the land rover has plenty spares for the task

He has great taste, I am very picky on car designs but his collection is made out of pure gems 💎 well done

Love the old Buick. My grandmother had one and it's the car I recall the most as a child. Way back when kids were allowed to stand up in the passenger seat and run wild in the back.

A 1967 MGB GT (right hand drive UK import) was my 2nd car as a teenager! Wonderful vehicle. I miss it desperately.

I think he keeps him in the garage at the house. He showed us Oliver in the last series. This looks like a storage barn somewhere else.

I love the standardisation from those days. The 7 inch circular headlights common to most British built cars

The GSXR deserves its own 'cocoon'. I owned a 91 model 1100, the 1127cc oil cooled models were brilliant, slightly more polished than the earlier slab/plank side models and super reliable. Mine had over 100,000kms on it when I sold it. It was and always will be my favourite motorcycle.

That little 883 sportster would make a great little chopper base to start with. And it would be awesome to see more bike content on here

With Hammond driving he'll spend all of his time straightening his own car

I have always loved the MG BGT and seriously looking forward to seeing everything you do with that in the show.

I love the passion these guys have for cars.

I think that's a '73 BGT. The '72 (which I own) has the fish mouth grill with thin stainless trim around it.

what richard should do is restore the series 1 himself as a sort of "how hard can it be" series

My buddy has a series 1. His is a throwback from when he used to off road rally. To this day he drives it like he stole it, it gets washed when it rains. And it still smells of poo because he crashed into a stables horse poo heap years ago, rebuilt the front end and put it back on the road.

Please get May and Hammond together to talk about motorcycles and drive them around. May still had quite a collection of his own motorcycles when he was still doing DriveTribe videos last year.

Hi Richard, I like your collection, classy and humble, where I work we have a xk120 for restoring, and mkiv, mg gt, spitfires, Bentley 1935 and much more,I remember this video when I'm next to him. My dad tells me to throw to the trash all my old cars, but I love to keep it in a barn like you. Cheers!

That 120 is going to end up a race car. We all know it. He'll be in his 70's racing it.

Hammond's genius plan sounds like a plan to go racing on the company dime... Sometimes his genius is, well it's frightening.

It's nice to see so many comments on the iconic MGBGT, showing that classic cars needn't cost mega-bucks. If you are going to go historical racing Richard, Goodwood etc, paint it in British Racing Green......it'll look amazing!

I love how he is talking about cars and motorcycles. A video of all his bikes would be nice!

It was actually restored and made into a race car back in April of this year. I’m guessing this was filmed way before that.

Great collection! Hoping we get to see the rest of it that he keeps at home!
