Your arid bed is looking great; bit of gaffer tape should sort those tears. My individual shelters have been fine (up to now) we’ve had some terrible winds in the North West also. Next year I’m planning a Cacti landscape, just 1m x 0.5m on my potting shed shelf and adding a few Cacti to my Mediterranean garden; Opuntia Sheerii (your recommendation 😄) Opuntia Engelmannii; possibly a Trichocereus Terschrckii (not to sure on that one) you need a new project every year or it’ll get boring 😄

Thanks! Yeah the trichocereus you mention is by all account perfectly hardy here. I love the idea of creating an indoor landscape - if I had a bigger greenhouse I'd have a go at something similar.

I am getting a new 10x6 potting shed; going to insulate so hopefully the cacti will survive with some background heat; similar to yours; I don’t have enough room (or the wife won’t let me) for a greenhouse; got the idea from Cactus Joe; looking forward to seeing your arid bed growth this year; lets hope for a warm spring and summer 🤞🏻

How long does chusquea gigantea take to start shootings up big culms.mine is bit like yours .great videos as always

Thanks, I appreciate it! I read somewhere that it can take around 5-10 years for chusquea gigantea to reach full size. My understanding is all the current seedlings are from 2020 so we've a few years yet!
