We decided to yet again collaborate with the Deep Sky Collective and image the famous Andromeda Galaxy. We spent... 1058 hours on this picture to create a very high-resolution image of the most popular galaxy in the sky.

    actually, the HA blobs within M31 are nebulas that are IN m31. if you were in m31 and imaged those nebulas, those would be as big as orion, if not even bigger. hard to quantify its size from a photo.

    Not bad. Still strange feel of some shenenigans, as low res picture atrifically stretched. Real spatial resolution way less than image resolution. Maybe it is atmosphere wobbling or some post processing 4x AI algorithm.
