The Bad Batch final season is coming to an end and I believe the creators of have been using the show to test out a new animated series surrounding the clone underground led by Captain Rex. Just like how the Bad Batch was spun off from the clone wars, I believe it makes financial sense for Disney to take this route.

Look, the Clone Troopers are my favorite characters in all of Fiction, but even I doubt this video. Besides Kix’s Sequel story, the Clones in Rebels, the Battle Tales Comics, and now the Bad Batch, stories where Clones are main or supporting characters are few in Canon. Heck, outside of the RC Novels and Game, it was the same story for Legends. Maybe to Disney, Clone Troopers aren’t marketable. They may think that is Clone Troopers fans are a minority and maybe they are right. Outside of the Twilight Company Battlefront novel, Star Wars doesn’t do a lot of military stories now. Political, spying, and rebelling happen often, but the military aspect doesn’t get focused on lately. Look at Star Wars fiction nowadays. You see Jedi, Rebels, Bounty Hunters, but nothing else really. Characters have to be unique to write a story about because they’re more interesting, or at least Disney thinks that. Heck, the existence of the Bad Batch points to this. Rex was already the most popular Clone and yet the show focusing on Clones after Order 66 follows the Bad Batch. Rex gets focus in Rebels and the last season of the Clone Wars, but it’s the Bad Batch who get a show. Sorry G-Tech, but as much as I wish you were right, the signs point against you. This is the last piece of fiction where Clone Troopers are important characters. After this, even stories set in the Clone Wars will only have them as minor characters at best. Just look at Canon novels and comics set in the war.

I'm a US Army Vet from the Reagan Era. I like the Clone Army stories largely because I can relate to a lot of it. The squad dynamics, the chain of command BS, and rah rah element that really doesn't trickle down into a combat arms unit but is needed to keep forever wars going in the public eye. I can't tell you how many times I get thanked for my service. I usually reply saying I didn't serve to be thanked. I think a continued Clone Army presence in SW could be an opportunity to help real soldiers with recovery from PTSD issues. There is a Homeless Vet program out there that no one has any idea about because the news doesn't get ratings on solutions but rather emotion packed problems. I'm on this program and it's a rent subsidy program called HUD-VASH. Perhaps some Vet out there can produce a SW Clone fan fiction about their version of the VA-Hospital system. I think that would show the public how bureaucrats are created and the lingering effects decades later of aging Vets who still live in the past. I'm guessing Disney wouldn't go for that. Though they might as the best Disney before they had a cable channel always had a dog in it. At times when I go to the VA it's like a Dog Show with all the Service dogs that accompany Vets into the building.

@@kalvinravn8431 I read a lot. I used to read the 1000 page novels in the Army. Ludlum mostly. I liked the Karen Traviss Republic/Imperial Commando Series for the squad dynamics and brotherhood in it. As many in combat arms roles in real life can relate to it. I thanked her on X/Twitter personally. I also liked the Medstar books 1 & 2 as one of my Army Buddies was a medic & and I know a few VA Doctors who served as well. Serving in the military is an odd vocation because you live with your middle management and in some cases your boss (NCOs & Officers respectively) and that's the best way I can relate this to non-military civilians. They even have their own laws that may seem bizarre too. You may have noticed that Vets will always show up early to an appointment or event as showing up late in the military you could be disciplined for being technically AWOL. Thanks for your comments.

I'm actually a Navy vet working on a Clone Wars fanfiction that I'm treating, as best as I can, like a professional novel. (So it's not even posted yet. I'm still writing and editing it.) I'm also keeping it canon compliant, so no "fixing" the sad events. I'd rather follow the lives of some minor characters that I've fleshed out through the beginning of the war to Order 66 and beyond. (Characters are Blackout and Spark.) Going into that "beyond" time is when I plan to explore some of what it sounds like you're describing with the veteran experience and PTSD. Major themes I'm exploring center around that "used and disposed of" feeling that a lot of veterans relate to the clones on. My service was only 4 years and mostly training so I can't sit here and claim to personally understand everyone's combat experience, but research and listening to people's stories has been a major influence. I also don't know a whole lot about the VA process, since I haven't even bothered trying to get any benefits. I don't even know where to start with that stuff in real life for myself. Getting out was just like, "Ok, you're on your own now! Let us know you're alive once a year! Bye~!"

At a minimum, I want a Clone Underground Anthology series. A number of 45 min to 1 hour episodes following different clones, before tying it all together to show the clone rebellion... how it got going, how it failed, and how the clones still carried on. I really do want to know if any clones survived to see the new republic. I can't imagine they'd be happy with it. They fought for so long for... nothing.

I expected this season to work up to a big clone rebellion but so far... nothing. Nothing but Rex, Wolffe and Gregor, the clone chipmunks we know will survive; Howzer has "sacrifice to protect Crosshairs" written all over him with the way he was reintroduced and Echo is probably the only clone network survivor i can buy not ending up with the chipmunks even if he survives the season. *very* worried.

If they're keeping Tantiss a secret, they don't have many troopers besides the CX troopers, some V-wing pilots, and the clones who don't want to be there. If the Cavalry shoots all the V-wings down and the transports they used to get the Zillo Beast there, they'd have to call Tarkin in or someone for backup. Logistically, they're short-staffed for a full-scale attack. I believe Cid will be involved, calling everyone the Bad Batch has helped to rescue Omega and the clones. Rex knows how to reach her. He's been to her parlor before.

Absolutely didn't watch the episodes that were mostly focused on the jedi or the senators or the politics. I just wanted to see clones in action, doing their thing. I love the episodes that focus on how each clone is really an individual at heart that just shares the same face as his fellow soldier. And their tales are just so tragic that it's hard not to love them. I'd love to see a show dedicated to the clones that shows them effectively forming the rebel alliance and fighting the empire. Your discussion of the economics also helped explain the cut of shows, and I mean the recent cancelations of a few Star trek shows that were popular with some fans, but not enough fans. As always, the education you give is excellent and I thank you for expanding my horizons not just with SW but overall. Be well.

I want so badly to see more on the clone commandos. I'd love a series following Delta Squad during the clone wars, giving us a peak at their cool operations and lives.

What I think will happen links to rebels. Imperial records state that Rex is dead (probably until Wolffe’s report) and that Gregor is a traitor, but in rebels the commander states that they were pardoned by the emperor

Hollywood changed in the 60 and 70s. Realized Hollywood was left of center in my 20s. With that in mind profits will always trump Hollywood later politics. I’d love to see a clone underground show. That would be awesome.

So many stories still to be explored. The thing I want to see the most, however, is Cody's true fate. It seems like such an anticlimax for one of the most iconic clones in the series to unceremoniously drop off the face of the galaxy after appearing in only one episode.

I'm gonna bet that Disney's going to keep telling stories of the clones up to and including the battle of Endor. Since it's been ret-conned that they were indeed part of that fight, I think it kinda makes sense Disney would want to make that official and actually show it and everything that led up to it.

The Clone Rebel army needs to take in/merge with a faction of mado's and get isolated on a remote/hard to get at planet. Something that makes them a minor role in the pre- because they were not there in mass. However, that does not mean that they could of started the foundation that then merged into the true rebel cell call that happened in CW:rebels.

There's a moral undercurrent that every viewer can relate to for their own personal experiences in day to day life. Life has a beginning, and storyline filled with suffering along with appiphines which leads to prosperity through wisdom. The end of life is full of reflection and hope, but as citizens we all die under various circumstances. Which helps viewers to look at their current situations and can empathize with the character arch to satisfy personal connections as an individual in support of the larger collective. Be a Shepard of morality and ethics to preserve prosperity of humanity.

I've yet to watch Clone Wars, Rebels or The Bad Batch. I watch Alan's channel for the background his videos of those shows provide to what I do watch, the live action iterations of Lucas' Star Wars universe. I also enjoy his tangential philosophical musings. That being said, I think it may be time to dip my toes into the animated worlds he so thoroughly enjoys.

I will continue to hope they make 1 or 2 seasons of a clone wars legacy show, completing the remaining unfinished episodes - Crystal Crisis, Son of Dathomir, Dark Disciple/Finding Vos, Boba Fett & Cad Bane, and Yoda & The Bad Batch to be specific. Would also be nice to see the events of Republic Heroes and/or the 2003 Clone Wars in a canon show.

18:00 Forget star wars, have you seen some of the things people do with Blender? I'm sure you've seen the "Backrooms" memes? with a VHS 1990 filter? You would believe those videos are real!! Kane Pixels might be the next lucas. You would believe "The Rolling giant" is live action. But the guy remade a WHOLE mall in Texas that got pulled down, and i've seen videos of the Mall before it was pulled down. It's 100 percent accurate to the original. It's insane.
