Oceanic premades in wow Regular BGs is what I thought of when you said you were getting crushed in Overwatch. Other less than Rival players like me and new players are queuing into matches with 10 people in the same pvp guild network who are on coms and "just throwing the ball around" isnt possible. If regular BGs is the "easy" content with the least rewards, the largest premades are there because crushing a team that isnt cordinating on Coms is entertaining for them. It really looks like compstomp but the queue synced group gets the satisfaction of steamrolling real people who might never pvp again after the match.

isnt the lower the dmg difference on the chart is, the easier the class is to do dmg?

It's not lower dmg because your CCing, it's lower dmg because you need to know when to LoS or run away when your healer is CCd. The specs near the lower end are the specs everyone usually focuses because they know it will affect their dmg.

Step 1) have 2 friends that play the exact classes your comp needs and are available everyday. Step 2) have no job or gf.

As a healer I understand that I must juke heal to bait a kick but how can I juke heal when the team is under pressure and the heal has to go through? When the team is not under much pressure then, I feel like I'm wasting time when I juke heal. Because that time could be spent doing dps, dispelling hots or CCing instead. From this logic I don't see it the best spending of GCD to juke heal unless I clearly see rogue running towards me. How do I decide?

A Sub rogue if at a teamfight in a BG(rated or otherwise) has to weigh their options too. They could CC or start damaging a large variety of targets. When and who should I shadowy duel? Is this a good time and location for smoke bomb? There certainly can be some generally considered good strategies to help you decide, but quite often due to current tuning and how fast several players can kill one target/the plethora of cc getting tossed out, large team fights can look like chaos for healers. There is no "best" time to juke vs dpsing as a healer if you play a healer with high dps, basically both are good. If under heavy pressure where you must cast or someone dies, you are not a one man army. Other players SHOULD be helping you and other teammates/themselves so your team is less likely to be wiped from that difficult moment of combat.

I've played PVP since Vanilla and I am utter trash. That being said, I'd think that the idea of a Havoc Demon Hunter's damage being less important is through healing output. Let's use 100k damage. Wouldn't your 100k damage be worthless assuming the healer did, say, 120k healing?

90% of arena is just having the right addons and UI that allow you to see what other players are doing: trinkets, cds, defensives, kicks, casts, drs.

Focus macros for you main CCs are big imo. Poly, Fear, Scatter, imprison (or w/e the dh ability is), you catch my drift. At least makes a big difference for me. But the add-ons thing is only beneficial if you know what to play around and when. Having the info is only part of it.

I know a guy that doesn't use focus macros or 123 binds (he clicks on everything targeting wise pretty much) and hes 2400+ on 3 different healers. however you get the information as an individual is fine just gotta figure out your flow

Is more like you need them to even begin to develop the ability to notice and react but having addons doesn't develop skill, it just gives you more information--and you are better with more info than less at all levels of skill

The real secret: Pay for a boost or download a kickbot (which is what the boosters are using to be able to boost you).

Pro tip Enh has utility you are just not using it... They are called totems... Even if they can be destroyed easily that is still seconds someone else has to deal with something else instead of what they were already doing... Also, a great root totem popping at the right time can turn a whole fight in seconds.

The results might be because of ascendence proc. In the case of enhance, this graph might have to be read differently. It's probably not who has more throughput but who has more proccs.

i dont think you should take for granted the info here even if it is skewed maybe a bit, i would also wager that the best enhance shamans would laugh at you saying they have no utility, i think you could learn a lot from simply taking this advice and trying to apply it instead of trying to break it apart

All of this is caused by bad class balance,i main enhancement shaman, in vanilla my rotation is stormstrike,shock spell,then both of those are on CD and i can choose between purge or hard casting lightning bolt,and then placing totems,but if ever my 2 dmg abilities are not on cooldown,i PRESS THEM, in tbc its the same, in wotlk they added lava lash,and maelstrom procs for instant cast lightning bolt,so you do that and never hard cast it,we have evolved from 2 dmg spells with a CD to 3 dmg spells with a CD + whenever you proc maelstrom use Lightning bolt, in cata they added unleashed elements,but its 40y range so you always start with that,and then resume the old rotation,we have done evolved to 4 dmg spells with COOLDOWNS, in MoP they added Elemental Blast,a dmg spell with a CD,so now on the first maelstrom proc i do elemental blast and not lightning bolt,we have evolved to 5 dmg spells with a CD, this still leaves me with down time after i put all my dmg spells on COOLDOWN,the rotation is still not long enough to loop itself,you do 5 spells,then purge and place totems,so between vanilla and MoP i got lava lash,unleash elements,elemental blast,but the basic principle is put you dmg spells on CD,do utility,repeate. say a warrior pops shield wall,what do i do? i do my dmg spells on CD anyway,as stormstrike gives all my spells more crit,unleash elements gives me haste and spell dmg,elemental blast gives me a big stat buff,and lava lash still gives me maelstrom no matter that he shield walled,so the rotation is based on me zug zug me good,do dmg spells to do more dmg to do more dmg, the only exceptions if full dmg immunity effects. now look at RETAIL enhance shaman,you have so much shit that there is actualy no way to do the optimal dmg rotation on someone in pvp,so now its a multiple choice flow chart that some people do better and so they do more dmg... now look at other classes,that have NO COOLDOWN high dmg spells,idealy a warlock doesnt want to cast 3 immolates on 3 targets,he wants to cast 3 chaos bolts on 1 target,its human instinct, this spell do more dmg,we killing this guy,do this spell on this guy, its just bad class design,like in wotlk chaos bolt was on a cooldown,so you start with immolate on 1 guy,chaos bolt,then you have a cooldown till the next chaos bolt,in that time you put immolate on the other people,corruption,and setup a cc in time for the next chaos bolt, but then again in wolk frost mage should do frostbolt over any other spell 80% of the time,becouse its a strong spell with no cooldown,if u went afk he would cast it repeatedly untill you died.

@@Kodama666yea honestly the biggest chunk of my climb was just healing, I am a new player and s2 was my first season ever, and I main holy priest, I got to 1955 at my peak and then I noticed games were shifting towards cc and game sense

So many people trolling watch free skill cap guides and actually pay attention and you can get better im Not r1 but went from 1800 to 2400 in solo every season and 2100+ in 2s and 3s there is useful information if you can process it…

Hey guys if u see this comment can you tell me if u are having a hard time as a range dps like mage, ele shaman or even as a healer in solo shuffle? Cuz of much meele classes who train you as the only range class with insane single dmg and also cleave the shit out of everything so I just want to get sure if Im the problem or just the matchmaking often is fcked up. I came back after a break of 8 years now and I started playing again 5 months ago. So is it rly just the skill cap cuz I dont have that much exp or are there also ppl who struggle like me? Ele and Mage are strong right now. Most melee struggle to actually connect with a mage due to alter, blink, ring, etc. BM is also really easy. From what I hear, your pets play the game for you. I would just say give it time, the games different and you more than likely just have to break the rust off. 2002 is better than the average player.

The figures are interesting, but correlation =/= causation. The reason Immolate may be an indicator for rating increase may not necessarily be due to it being a 'better' ability than chaos bolt for x/y/z reasons; a larger number of Immolate casts may be an indicator for increased match success/rating increase because when a Destro Warlock is winning they are simply able to get more Immolate casts off. You can't really use this data to say "cast immolate more and you win" because you don't know what the cause of the relationship is; all you can do is guess, which is what they did for the video lol. This is where parsimony comes into play; the simpler explanation for the correlation is that in a winning matchup you can cast immolate more, so that is the theory more likely to be true (as opposed to casting immolate is somehow magically OP and wins you all your matches lol).

I'm going to stay subbed because I'm excited to see you be part of different content, but this dragon flight xpac juat isn't it for me.

This is just dumb correlation data. The reason immolate is highly correlated is because in higher MMR games you get dispelled more so you have to immolate more.

But i think he missed something To understand why low Player like this 1.4k lock data was more focused on bolts No set means waaay less impact. just cuz they're low cr doesnt mean they arent fully geared lol, pleeeeenty of them are, thats why guides exist, gear doesnt = good or more rating at all in fact its arguable that low cr players might sometimes be the most geared, because a lot of r1's and glads simply do not care about gear as much because they know that they will win regardless

4:06 so glacial spike is bad then. You would be getting damage from each icicle the entire game alternatively. That doesn't make sense to me, especially on the games where he's saying this spell wasn't even cast.

@@Ribcut war is kinda a weird spec to relate this info to i think but if i were to try to make some kinda comparison, its like if u went in a match, and the ENTIRE match the only thing you were trying to do is press sharpen blade + mortal strike, instead of using maybe somewhat less impactful abilities like overpower, or applying rend, that only help in the long term, for generating rage or cooldown reduction and only minor damage but then when you finally press sharpen or warbreaker or whatever you just get disarmed, that is why glacial is bad

For your example to be analogous, there would have to be a passive that did a % of mortal strike the ENTIRE match you simply just didn't choose. Ven is saying he sometimes doesn't glacial spike at all, or maybe just once or twice. This is objectively worse than your icicles constantly doing damage the entire game. There's a reason no one in PvP picked up glacial, and instead went with the passive icicle damage instead, which you sacrifice with glacial. Nothing mechanically changed about the game or that concept. People just randomly decide to change their mind, and it was clear they were originally correct.

I cannot fucking stand skill capped. I made the mistake of subbing to the service years and years ago. And have been trying to cancel the sub for literally 3+ years at this point. And they constantly give me the run around. They're still charging even though Ive asked to cancel it about 30 times. These are terrible people with terrible business practices, and terrible customer service. Never use them.

im 3 minutes in, and he litterly just tells basic information. Big damage was never the way to win lol. im a Paly healer there was not a single 2v2 team who could kill me just with straight damage, not in a single expansion. (not just in Dragonflight) Im no pro by all means. i play around 2300 to 2500 rating. Even if i cant do all the things what i should to win sometimes. Thats litterly basic understanding of PvP to me. Maybe because i play this game since 18 years, or because im 40, i dont know. I know all the things what he is telling. and still cant reach 3000 rating. So that title with ''Easy to get rating'' It is just BS. ''The secret to high rating'' is: you need to be GOOD at it. and have reflexes like a cat. or else you end up like me on 2500 rating. Plus as a paly healer, if you just go and heal, you end up without mana very soon. Healing is DEFFENITLY harder then go in as a DPS for me. Paly healing has become to overloaded with skills. i ave to watch like 5 diffrent things at the same time now. its ULTRA hard as healer, harder then dps in Dragonflight. paly dps is piece of cake, and healing is super complicated now.

It just kind of sucks that anyone would ever need this specific data to help gain rating. The game has gotten so much more complex than it use to be. Even watching tourneys unless im watching a class i play all the time, idk whats going on. At least they show major cds so you can kind of get an idea that they are working on trading cds. I want to be able to do damage without some complex chaining of passives and abilities. I want my frost bolt to do damage to someone without needing a cd or dice roll proc.

Idk obviously complicated can be clunky and poorly adjusted, but assuming it's designed well (and at a certain level of complexity it is impossible to not be clunky--at least with gcd) Wouldn't it be so much less enjoyable if there were 4 buttons? It works in MOBAs because it's not tab targeting which is a massive difference

im not saying your wrong or dumb, but i disagree in the sense that honestly this is just a human fault, it occurs in literally every game ever made from the simplest to the most complex if theres any pvp or competition inside the game, then theres going to be this exact faulty play always, this lack of awareness probably existed in classic/tbc as well and exists in classic today and i think this advice is really great because its actually super easy to apply for most people, if anything it is kinda going against what your complaining about, because this video is literally telling you to stop tryin to go for all the sweaty complex micro plays and start pressing what are usually the easiest and most neglected buttons on every class

Sorry it s a LIE. I always do most heal in all of my healers (resto shaman, h priest, mist) but what wins is the druid with infinite cc. When druid cc you, you cant heal while his HOTS heal at the same time and although at the end you may have more heal than him, he wins because as the video says "you have overworked' on what you are doing while he is not. What in arena wins is cc, not damage or heal.

I about 2200 on lock and get 2k on abunch of others.. and dots.. especially dots like imolate end up doing like 35 percent of your dmg. Inwill.lkterally naevrr cats chaos bolt and just immolate shadow burn and then spam incinerate.. and wont even bother with bolts until the team gets bored of me

thats why i quit playing wow in all honesty i love pvp to death but such a low population predominantly & its R1's that only play with R1's and being gated out of rewards is a HUGE buzz kill especially when you invest so much time into that singular reward that you cant help but feel you will ever attain unless you pay to play with them or for a carry in general. I feel like this is mostly fluff without any actual substance. Showing fancy graphs while giving minimal information isn't very helpful, especially when said information is barebones at best and only helpful to newer players. Which isn't inherently a bad thing but I doubt the average player will find much value out of this, but that's just my opinion.

i disagree with you entirely as someone whos consistently at the highest rating and coaches newbies, this is usually what i find most lower cr players are struggling with actually, and this is the exact things i try to drill into them, and by low cr i dont mean like 1000-1400 i mean like 1600-2100 cr people literally just press their buttons in a super inefficient way. i wish i could get this video to every arena player ever they would probably improve substantially

Skill-Capped still keep wrong priority's for Devastation Evoker on their site. Devastation Evoker Stat Priority Versatility > Mastery > Haste = Critical Strike But Mastery is not a thing in PvP anymore, Versatility Critical Strike Item Level Haste Mastery Thats the oficial. As we see here Mastery is on last place. How i can trust website who show wrong information ? I ask for corection on their website like month ago. Of course nobody bother to correct it. They done great video, but how accurate is ?

blizzard did something this season. if we take away inflation factor, there is no chance to climb. even though last season was crap. this one is even worse. given you have full conquest gear and pretty much min maxed, you can not climb UNLESS you can carry the lobby. i'm trying to climb on mage and lock. 1600-1700. no shot going up. i can't win 5/6, 3/6 and 4/6 do no justice for me, cause one game going 2/6 im losing like 30-40 rating and everything i got from 3/6 and 4/6 wins got insta deleted. even 1400 pool, is full of sweaty rats. i played since 9 am on my lock, shuffle only, have not won a single lobby 5/6. started 1600, still at 1600. waste of 12 hours. this shouldnt be like this. people should be able to climb. slowly, but still.

Better off finding people to play 2s or 3s with. Its better game mode.

can't do. people are just too coordinated and too good with voice. i have 5 friends who i game since actual vanilla. best we ever did this xpack was 1600. no shot there either. :( i'd rather solo everything at this point and if i can't get rewards, i'd rather not play at all which i think is what i wil ldo @@ryangallegos3218

I dropped with my ele from 1893 to 1602 🤣🤣 ele doesnt even deal constant high dmg and you get trained by meeles its sad but also funny that its hard to gain any rating as a range dps (for sure Im not a good PvP player but fun fact I got 2002 rating now as a BM hunter easily I just have to use my traps right)

im not saying this to be rude but i suspect the true reason you're not climbing is because you are not improving at the correct things in relation to ur class and skill level. But this is not to sound discouraging either, you can improve and climb, but you must do something different, likely something you can take from this video as well, as i think this video provides great advice :)

you should not be require to minx max to climb, to an extent. and i dont think min maxin stats/talents, should not affect your ability to climb to 2k. neither it should require a ton of sweat. just participation. this season is mad diflated. i only go for 1800 for mogs. i dont have the patience to sit in queus for hours just to get 5 rating per lobby, only to go 2/6 3 hours later and lose all the gain. this system is shit. as it stands right now. you can't climb UNLESS you can carry a lobby, like do 5/6 or better. and this is shit system on it's own. 3/6 should let you climb.(up to 2k at least)@@Kodama666

Classical stuck player thinking your skill is not the issue. As so many people you dont question yourself... If you were truly a 2k player or more you would easily hit 1k8-9 in a day. Stop BS yourself, play better

if youre stuck below 1800 you shouldnt even focus on rating and damage, spend a couple games/hours surviving. theres concepts like you dont even need to pop defensive cds if you los and you an even bait offensives from opponents. outplays and positioning like that are what people below 2.2 have no idea. if you're playing for rating keep in mind i can get 2100 on a char/class i never played in blues in soloshuffle in a single day so your thirst for 1800 means nothing

nah sorry the system is broken, i can have 65% win rate in 3s and being 1.8cr with 200 games and seeing pple with 50% win rate at 2500 cr just cuz they playng with pple at way higher mm than them cuz "friends" or just boosters.. the system allows a 0 cr person to join with a 2500cr player this is just unfair and perfect to gatekeeping. and if u are defending this u are 100% being boosted, i think there is no any other game that let this happens on their systems. like u can play with a gold medal as bronze medal ecc? nah. or bronze with diamond? nah

these ppl talk so much, these are basic things u learn by playing the class for 1 hour. mind boggled that ven is giving this video attention...

The fact that a video like this having to be made just proves just how stupid most pvpers are in this game. Getting 2400 has never been easier, Gladiator has never been easier and people still need guides for it. Honestly, if you played in DF season 1 and you aren't 2700, you belong on the short bus, full stop.

@@yuemilia2387 In DF s1 I literally got 2.4 on 2 characters over two weekends. If it takes them a long ass time to get it, then it's not the games fault that their stupid.
