Yeah, same thought. That was the part that stood out in this video. It’s a promo at the end of the day. AEW taught these guys to make it gritty and make it “real,” and Punk himself has said that he values that about the company. I could legitimately see Adam trying to do that and unknowingly crossing the line with his words.

First off I just want to say from a fan point of view Hangman I would have loved you to have KO'd Punk right there. If that wasn't enough messing with Jon, Mox/ Ambrose was absolutely the wrong move. Punk is not the man he use to be, anybody can go watch you tube matches. He's not that man. Punk was givin more power than he deserved to start. Hangman was spot on. Punk is doing the same behind the scene antics that made his exit from WWE. Hunter knows and saw it before. Punk needs to retire and stay there.

Now CM Punk in WWE shows up towards the end on Survivor Series 2023 . He’s not working with children anymore. H tried to help AEW get the ratings up bring back quality wrestling. Now he had to put a child in his place back stage in Wembley before his match. Now we will wait and see the night after on RAW , I hope he goes off on the where he’s been. 95% of fans didn’t even connect the worker’s rights line to Cabana, and Punk’s reaction was to make a mountain out of a mole hill and air grievances that most people weren’t even aware of. And the fact that this promo stayed in Punk’s head for as long as it did speaks volumes of Punk. Like Mox said “fragile mind, fragile ego, fragile body.”

All this backstage drama has taken its toll on AEW. Just look at ticket sales and crowds. It's diminishing because fans can't be bothered with this crap anymore.

Needless to say, this is the best thing Cabana’s been a part of in his life. Three guys who were way down below him this time last year are challenging for MJF's title, and nobody ever talks about Hangman in the title picture, even after beating Moxley a while back. If you were judging by how someone is being used on TV, you would think that Moxley won that match and not Page. And before that, I have zero memory of what he spent the last year doing. Some people don't need the title to be over, and some people do, and Hangman is one of those people.

They were firing warning shots (Page, Kingston) for everyone to see about Punk. All the backstage drama came out in promos and everyone missed the signs (everyone remembers MJF's promo) but this was the beginning of the All Out CM Punk temper tantrum debacle. As far as I’m concerned, THIS is where Hangman Page turned Heel. It just took the company 3 years , their biggest star leaving, and opening their eyes to another young wrestler with more upside in Swerve Strickland, for them to finally realize it.

Except this was a straight shoot that cost him his spot. Punk is an asshole when it comes to talent backstage, Page was telling the truth but Page went into business for himself. This isn't kayfabe, they got a lot of heat backstage but clueless Tony and his awkward cokehead ass with his billionaire daddy's money doesn't know how to handle the situation...this isn't brilliant, it's pathetic and embarrassing

If it works- except this didn’t. It made no sense to their storyline or the PPV. Kudos to them for trying, maybe? But it needs to make sense on both levels, and this was confusing to regular viewers.

The payoff is coming down the line… And the fact that social media is blazing with this, and has this as the top trending story in wrestling makes it successful. If nothing else, CM Punk just put himself over even higher. The Young Bucks and crew apparently rub many backstage the wrong way. It seems like Cody Rhodes left cuz of them. Punk might be setting this up in such a crazy way given the real life, backstage aspect of it all. It’s believable, and wrestling needs believable story lines. This is a genius way to usher in a new era of kayfabe

Oh no AEW got a million PPV buys on the show Punk was on it must need protection from him. This wannabe cowboy and all the other whiny little nerds in his cliché are nobody’s they don’t even have the star power NWO had to take over a company. How are you gonna go off script without punk even knowing how is he now supposed to trust you in a match when you could dump him on his head intentionally when your supposed to actually protect the person you work with. That’s because CM punk knew it was coming it was all worked into the storyline that they were talking about. However the Hangman promo was not talked about prior nor sign off on.

Turns out cm punk was 100% correct .

Punk was scheduled to beat Moxley in his hometown, I honestly can't see Punk losing in Chicago this caliber matches , instead he lost the title a week before , it just make no sense , It is more likely that he caused major heat in the leadership and they punished him, MJF 'leaving' was clearly work since it was already reported that he signed his new contract, but this is definetly not a work imo, hearing about all that backstage drama around Punk makes this theory even more believeable

@@davidkosiba624 punk came back early from injury just to put MOX over so he could erase the Interim champ tagline One week he's back next they build to match next week they have the match on TV as quick as possible so punk doesn't mess his injury up further . Sure seems like a clever work to sort out the booking sheet after the champion got injured winning the title. Your op said Tk said enuf of your shit and booked MOX to squash punk. Like I said they worked you good If you think punk and his attitude was so bad why would he go out and job to MOX so quickly why didn't he kick out of MOXs second finish if his attitude is so bad! I think punk is an asshole and rubs alot of people the wrong way but I don't think aew changed its booking sheet for any backstage issues other than Kingston and Guevara . I might be wrong but i think punk came back from injury to do exactly what he did Build up the match with mox quickly and put over MOX quickly. Again I'm no expert I could still be wrong.
