BTW: loved the clip of Louis Johnson, just wish that you'd mention him on your Top Bass Players list because he was a pioneer; he took the baton from Larry Graham and made thumping & slapping popular among bassists in the late '70s. Maybe it is ? Looks and sounds can be deceiving , especially on instrument . But once you really tried it , you'll never know .

He simplified some of these but he is still a beast... Super clean bass sound, APPROVED

I seen Stu Hamm with Joe Satriani in the early 90s, awesome show, amazing Bass Player.

Hey me too ! This showed up on my KZread and I like Bass. And my son took lessons and I have been watching for two hrs now and … this is cool I like his channel nice.. very nice. I saw the Bassist from the Band Golden Earring and he was very very good maybe you can find some of their old music , their sones was one of the first Bas solo’s I ever heard was blown away by it.
