As you seem to be into weird stuff, check out 'Schützenfest'. It's a very German thing which involves marching music, parades and beer. The most traditional events are to be found in Ostwestfalen, one to two hours driving north from Marburg. So if you need a crappy and clueless tour guide for that and some nice sides, just let me know. BTW, for some strange reasons this video made me stop craving guacamole...
