It was great to catch up again with Ivan 🙌🏼 Do you remember the hot towel shave video we filmed with him a few years ago?

Around the age of 13, Ivan began giving haircuts to his brothers, but then people who he had never met began asking if he could cut their hair. Before he knew it, he found himself with a busy schedule! So when he was 18, he decided to go to barber school.
Fast forward to 2011, and Luna’s Barbershop came to life. Ivan says he wants to give people a quality experience like how barbershops used to be back in time. He’s all about bringing back the classic charm of old school barbershops, taking inspiration from eras like the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. He does have a section in his barbershop dedicated to a later era… he is a big fan of 80s movies like Karate Kid!
Luna's Barbershop is the gem of Carthage. An avid collector of anything barbershop-related, Ivan and his barbershop is a true time capsule of antique barber chairs, trinkets and photographs from a bygone era.
Inside Luna’s Barbershop, you’ll see a Victorian barber chair from New York. Purchased at an auction, this is Ivan’s favorite piece in his collection.
Ivan loves being a barber and hopes to continue for many years to come 💈 When he is not at the barbershop, you’ll find him spending time with his wife and children ❤️

I love watching the barbers use the various different products they have, like the tonics, lotions, aftershaves etc. I like when they explain what each item does, how its made, the type of scent it produces.
Ivan knew the assignment. He's got such a soothing voice, and the more styling with hands, the more relaxing and triggering. Thank you Ivan!

Vintage is more like it lol. He is wearing a Casio CA-53W. That particular model was introduced in 1988.
I love the near silence - this brings on the calming and even tingles. Great video all!
I could swear we were nearly back at a Route 66 haircut. Looking very slick Harry! Wonderful barber, LOVE the retro calculator casio watch. 👍

Besides being incredibly relaxing to watch, this barber is a real artist w his combing.
'Dead on the money'.. And he was right. Great cut, and most relaxing atmosphere and vibe in this video
Heck yeah, back at Lunas! He's my favorite barber you've been to, for sure. All the old school decor reminds me of my grandparents house in SA. It's a nostalgia trip for me!

I like when you visit old barbers
I love when they give us examples of multiple styles. It shows the versatility of the haircut, and their skill at the craft. I hope one day to see someone leave the top of your hair longer and pop some curls/waves in there for a boyish look!
