Most tragic band brake ups in rock history (in order of relevance): 1. The Jam 2. The Beatles 3. Pink Floyd 4. Genesis Yes, I fully understand the reason behind their brake ups but I cannot help thinking what albums that could have come through if they’d contained… Jam was such a tight and excellent three-piece band. Foxton’s melodic and intense base lines supported by Buckler’s raving and distinctive drums provided a haunting atmosphere where Weller’s energetic guitar came right through. With musical influences from bands like Kinks and Who and with the anger and raw energy from the punk movement made them such an unique band. Also Weller’s (and Foxton’s) song and excellent lyrics made them shine. One of the most underrated bands nowadays.
