Klay Thompson was benched for the first time in his career ending a streak that began as a rookie in 2012. The Splash Brothers Era is officially over in Golden State but that’s the last of the Warriors’ problems.

Klay has been done since the injuries. But every now and then he has a good game for every 15-20 bad games he has. Golden State is going to really have to rely on the young guys like Podz and Kuminga. Also worth noting, every time we think the run for the Warriors is over it’s not. So they’re not done until they both hang up the shoe laces.

absolutely! trae in any angle looks like the person driving a UFO! pairing him with wemby is a sensible move
KLAY went to the bench less pressure good mindset . This might have interesting implications going forward. I’m impressed by how KLAY is handling this. Let’s Gooooooo
Klay dropping 36 is just a glimpse of his past self. He is like a dying light, it may flicker every now and then showing flashes of his old self but no one can deny the fact that its just a matter of time before his light is snuffed out
Klay has to get shown up by a rookie teammate to play good. That’s a bad sign. Getting shown up by other teams isn’t his motivation anymore he just wants to prove he’s still better than the new guys 😅 I pray he finds his lane ❤
I truly love this for Klay. Not the performance. I know Klay can still do that. What I love is that statement he made. Bc that right there is what will give you the peace and the space mentally to go out there and perform the way he's ways performed since they became the Splash brothers. We love you Klay! And this from a LeBron fan! ✊🏽🫡
Now Kerr just needs to give Kuminga his respect

It’s Danny greens fault
Bronny and Thanasis could anchor a... certain type of all star team. Who else can we put on there?
I think Klay got benched, because after that Clippers game he went completely ballistic on the coaching staff. It's better they experiment now than later. Kerr is trying to see what is going to give Warriors a spark on offensive with no Cp3.
6:45 correction Lakers have 3 tradeable first round picks this offseason 😅
Klay is a class dude. It's hard to watch him struggle so.
Klay still my man and will always be! Remember this, No one is winning when klay Thompson is hitting! Shooters get old but will always be shooters! Like the saying about a pants famous brand , Old Levi's never " die" , they just fade away!
The loss to the Clippers was tough since they blew a lead again, but they BARELY squeaked by Utah (who they had been dominating). Klay going moving to a bench player actually might be helpful since he'll be playing when they need offense without Curry and Kuminga on the floor. I don't know if he can be effective consistently, but maybe if he stops trying to shoot on the move and takes higher percentage shots he'll get it together. You don't forget how to shoot because of age (or even injury). He might just have to limit his shots to good ones instead of the circus stuff.
Using him in a different role will be very beneficial to them he doesn’t have to be the #2 or even 3rd option
It's sad to see a legend like this😥
I mean Klay was never Ai or Melo, but it is nice to see him accept this new role in his career. He wants to play for a long time, that means eventually he will need to fill different roles and a hot hand coming off the bench will keep him in the league a lot longer.
@goldenharp5415

Why does everyone think when someone says something like another you think it’s implying being on the same level it’s not it’s just that two good to great players having a similar circumstance and reacting differently thats all.
@mohamedmaiza3866
3 ай бұрын
The comparison is fair here as AI and Melo had egos built of years being the number 1 guy in their respective teams that Klay didn't. Klay humbling himself to come off the bench was going to be easier as he was always more of a team player and more used to humbling himself to begin with.
Doesn't matter who starts the game. Who's on the floor when the clock hits 0.00 in the 4th quarter is all that matters.
Thing is, everyone aside from SC30, need to prove themselves on the court and then know what their place or role is. Klay’s performance this year is not a starter performance 🤷🏻♂️ hope this situation becomes his motivation 👊
The under 30 minutes graphic is messed up. The warriors have played 53 games thus far this season, and you said 26 games but the graphic is 20-9
not now
i dont think freek will leave
We stand behind Klay !!
I am not a Warriors fan but good job
Everybody falls off. Do it with dignity and grace.
Its funny to see how I said Giannis and Dame don't work together while a lot of channels were hyping Bucks as Potential eastern Conference Finalist
7:01 now wouldn’t this be somethin’ somethin’ 😲🫣😅
I been saying it since they won the chip. Imagine if in the offseason after they won they dealt klay. They would have been able to turn around and be competitive with curry way quicker. Whether they went with future picks to deal or young talent I have to believe they would have been better off.
Klay seems to shoot well when he isn't fading. Even Zach Lowe talked about it on his most recent podcast. Don't know what it's like to pay attention to the shot clock during game. But - if manageable - maybe Klay should only be taking fadeaways & off balance shots when the shot clock is under 4-5 seconds.
My goodness pleass dont let lebron end up in golden state. I'd have to switch teams I'm rooting for again.

Yes the playoffs are different. That's why Kerr needs to trust and give more playing time to his youngsters now to prepare them. That means JK, Pods, Moody, TJD, Quinones and Santos.
@bobbyestebanlar310

If Giannis is available in the offseason then you would have been able to showcase your young players as assets for a trade.
"That level of (PR influence)..."
That’s because at the end of the day Klay is a winner. That humility comes with accomplishment. He has several accolades that are higher on the chart of accomplishment than Steph Curry. He will be back and it would be a mistake to count him out.
The secret to win BENCH CLAY !
Clay have the arsenal and ability the problem is consistency and in playoffs consistent is the key and klay dont have it anymore
can I have a video about the twolves please
If klay ends up on Miami Lakers or clippers he might come off the bench this might prepare him just in case. But i doubt him leaving the warriors if he does I'd be shocked and if it's too my clippers I'd be ecstatic. But I'd hate to lose George and i never thought there'd be a day i say this I'd hate to lose harden so they might need to take a paycut or let one go.
If Klay can take on the super 6th man role it could be beneficial for both the Warriors and extending his NBA career.
Klay didn't think he made mistake because he didn't. He fouled Westbrook, most realistic outcome was to miss at least one. They could defend and get basket and be down 5-6 for like 18s left. Klay did very smart thing that didn't pay out.
nothing lasts forever, dynasties will rise and fall
Bucks never needed "Dame".... I been saying that since the trade, while everybody else was thinking Bucks go win it all. Bucks getting "Dame" was actually a set-back because they gave up a player that was not only bigger, not only a bucket getter but a DEFENSIVE player and "Dame" has never been known for defense. Like I said since day one, "Dame" would have been better served in Miami.
Finally...about damn time. I blame Kerr, this took too long tbh.
Warriors dynasty is done ✅ young to the spurs confirmed . What a time to be alive
2:20 nahh actions are louder than words, that is not how he really feels, look at his body language at the court his demeanor at the bench, he is not happy, he is toxic
