I just think its funny how people say that as if Pat is taking any accountability for this team making a single move to improve its roster and address its needs since Jimmy signed on. They have signed old players who can't contribute much and a dozen undersized guards/wings who all have the same skill sets. They have had 2 great pieces to build around and have done exactly 0 building.

As a Sixer fan, we damned if we do, damned if we dont. The amount of misses this franchise has had between 2012-til now needs to be a documentary. Embiid has not failed Philly, Sixers ownership and management has failed Philly. Over and over again

@@addictedwii looking at their team they have a ton of depth imo, they have their two stars in Bam and Jimmy then you have 2 20ppg scorers in Rozier and Herro then some of the better role players with DRob, Caleb, JRich, KLove, Bryant and young players like Jovic, JJJ and Orlando all under contract the only real dilemma they have is Highsmith

Pat is a realist, he knows Jimmy Buckets didn’t take of himself like LeBron did; and his body is closer to a 37yr old AD/KD/Lowry/Kawhi. Miami will happily go into a semi-rebuild mode without Jimmy. They can rebuild their core/bench, and then wait for another Shaq-type to pout his way into a Heat uniform. Thats the great thing about being a vacation/destination franchise like Los Angeles.

I live in SF right next to chase & the buzz is warriors that’s the talk anyway from the people out here not just the media but who really knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

Miami refusing to get a real big man is frustrating. They really wasted Jimmy's prime and now that he hurt his knees, we're not even sure if he's gonna come back as good as he was.

Pat is just built different. He doesnt care who you are, how much of an all star you are, how crucial you think you are to the team; he thinks of the longevity more than the moment and is willing to cut a problem off quick. Unlike other franchises that bend over backwards for players whims and break themselves just to appease them just for them to leave anyway.

If I'm Pat Riley, do I want to keep Tyler Herro though as part of my future core? He doesn't seem to stay healthy consistently and in the playoffs he could be in top form one day, but a vanishing act on the next. And he will earn $33M in the final year of his contract. But what team realisticly need him and especially on that contract? A trade to the Wizards for Kyle Kuzma perhaps, but Washington might ask for an unprotected first rounder and/or one of Jovic or Jaquez if they want to deal Kuz to Miami.

I’ve always been a buckets and a heat fan. The heat seemed to think they could win it all without getting him any help. What they have right now isn’t gonna work. I hope he stays and they get another piece if they can. I think the warriors are done and like a lot here don’t think the sixers are in the mix after the trade. I don’t see him a good fit anywhere else. His problem is his age and pay. If his salary will handicap the team then he should consider a pay cut to help get some to help.

With 6'8-6'10 NBA-ready players like Brandon Miller, Jalen Johnson, Chet, or even Jalen Williams popping out of the draft routinely, the idea of paying old heads like Butler or PG extreme 50+mm extensions is ludicrous. The average number of quality draftees is 2x over just 5 years ago, these kids are factory produced these days. OKC broke the mold.
