This is OUR way to reclaim screens. The fun AND clean way!

Lots of screen printers really dislike this process.
I'm here to show you that it can be a relaxing, fun, and not a messy experience.
This is the way we reclaim screens, many shops have different ways for this process but this is the one that works for us.
Wear ear protection at all times (not shown)
We are not liable for any injuries.
These are the eco-friendly chemicals we use from Ryonet:
Ink Degrader
www.screenprinting.com/collec...
Haze Remover
www.screenprinting.com/collec...
Main Steps:
-Remove excess ink from the screen
-Remove the tape (shortly after taking the screens down)
-Spray Ink degrader and scrub
-Power wash
-Dip screen in dip tank with CP2 mineral spirits
-Power wash emulsion off
-Spray haze remover and scrub
-Set aside for a few minutes
-Power wash one last time
-Bingo! Don't forget to stay clean

Our booth is 50 inches wide and we reclaim 12 screens at a time , no dip tank. 12 screens per hour . Yes it's fun and therapeutic . Great video !!! If you enjoy your job , you never work a day in your life.

@@gooseworksscreenprintingst9581 The dip tank is not necessary. First on the left side of the booth we line up 12 screens - we have Neumann roller frames (40) next we get the first screen, hit it with ink degrader and sponge it, placing it on the right side this process goes through the 12 screens. next we hose down the last screen we cleaned and move it to the left side until we finish the twelve next we spray reclaimer on the first screen (ATS reclaimer concentrate, mixes 1 ounce per gallon of water) after we spray it, we place it on the right side repeat till all 12 have reclaimer on them. Then we get last screen sprayed with reclaimer and hose it down, this reclaimer works basically instantly so there is no "wait time". Rinse the screen and put it on the left side until all twelve are done. We then spray them with Pro Wash degreaser/dehazer, same left to right process. after last screen is sprayed and sponged down, we start rinsing them in the same process, except that with this final rinse we just but it to the side to dry. the screens are about 20 inches wide, so the screens being on the left never touch the screens on the right because there are about 20 inches in the middle as a work area. AFTER all the reclaiming and dehazing is done, we rinse out our booth and we are ready for the next batch.,

30 year ago we just used paint strpiper both sides leave then hit it with a jet wash with the power to take your arm off if you used it 1 handed then dry then recoat we evern made are inks up from scratch and our gums working on 100mtr tables lifting the screens by hand with constant heat ducts above on full bast we used to use car body filler with thinners to pin hole the screens aswell

Depends on the chemistry in your tank. Some, like SAATI chemicals, allow you to simply "dip" them for 45 seconds and that's all it takes. Others require an actual soak of about 5 minutes. Contact your local distributor and see what the best product is for your setup.
