This Is Not The Same Donte DiVincenzo

Donte DiVincenzo has always been a pretty well rounded player. But this year with the New York Knicks he's completely transformed his game. And we're seeing the effects of that right now in the playoffs.

@@MuckNoya I honestly believe the warriors would be strong contenders if they just got rid of klay and wiggins and replaced them with some consistent scorers. The entire reason the warriors aren't even in playoffs this year is because of Klay, he literally gave 0 points being played for around 30mins during their last game, what a mess

Donte averaged 21 points per game in the his last 35 regular season games. He's still seen as a "role player" but he's as morphing into as much as a #2 scorer as prime Klay was. He was drafted higher than Brunson and Hart for a reason. Not nearly as much sauce as a guy like Tyler Herro, but Donte can get buckets within the flow of an offense. The Nova 3 combined make less money than Jaylen Brown.

Donte was a good facilitator with the warriors and made clutch shots. But never at this volume. I was disappointed the warriors traded him (moved to the bay from nyc 10 yrs ago). I’m convinced it’s the Villanova brotherhood that’s making the sum greater than its parts. These brothers played 3 seasons and won 2 titles together. The connection runs deep.

They all said the same things. 90% of the league can be star players.. they just have to get lucky and find the right team that uses them in the right way. I think Donte found his system. Happy for him, Brunson, and Hart. Do you think the knicks will find a way to trade for Mikal?

If they could they would, he would be the perfect fit but would push Donte to the 6th man role which im sure he'd be fine Wirth & he'd probably still get close to 30 mins a game. Nets aren't dealing Bridges tho. They have some inflated idea that he's a number one option which is why he's been struggling this season. They're actually doing him a disservice IMO putting those expectations on him when really he's not even the second option on a championship team. Nets supposedly turned down 3-4 first round picks and Jalen Green from the Rockets at the deadline. INSANE move by them lol. But the Knicks & Nets also haven't done a trade together since 1983 lol, they aint sending him in the same city. He would be the perfect fit too. It's too bad he got dealt to the Nets because that's probably the only place the Knicks have zero chance of acquiring him. Think he would make them title contenders 100%
