This Is Not The Same Donte DiVincenzo
Donte DiVincenzo has always been a pretty well rounded player. But this year with the New York Knicks he's completely transformed his game. And we're seeing the effects of that right now in the playoffs.

I think playing at Golden State helped him a lot seeing Steph and Klay work. Probably changed his approach a bit now he’s a much more efficient volume 3pt shooter

@@MuckNoya I honestly believe the warriors would be strong contenders if they just got rid of klay and wiggins and replaced them with some consistent scorers. The entire reason the warriors aren't even in playoffs this year is because of Klay, he literally gave 0 points being played for around 30mins during their last game, what a mess

Bingo, it’s the same Donte… more opportunity. He’s tightened some things up, but he’s always played the exact same way,
100% agreed, great analysis there. lets give some kudos to Hartenstein, he is an elite passer for a center his size.
I always knew Donte was good and could be better than he had shown, so now that he’s got a solid role on a team with players he’s got chemistry with from college, I’m not surprised how he’s flourished

I knew Donte was good the first time I saw him play for Nova. He’s always had that swag and just needed a HC that believes in him. Thibs does. He’s a better athlete than most give him credit for.
As a bucks fan I’m annoyed they didn’t give him lots of playing time and annoyed they didn’t keep him
you know a guy is him when his name's Donte
Donte averaged 21 points per game in the his last 35 regular season games. He's still seen as a "role player" but he's as morphing into as much as a #2 scorer as prime Klay was. He was drafted higher than Brunson and Hart for a reason. Not nearly as much sauce as a guy like Tyler Herro, but Donte can get buckets within the flow of an offense. The Nova 3 combined make less money than Jaylen Brown.

Donte was a good facilitator with the warriors and made clutch shots. But never at this volume. I was disappointed the warriors traded him (moved to the bay from nyc 10 yrs ago). I’m convinced it’s the Villanova brotherhood that’s making the sum greater than its parts. These brothers played 3 seasons and won 2 titles together. The connection runs deep.

Warriors didn’t have money to resign him I think
he improved his shooting form, current form (1-motion) is different from what it looked like in college.
Great analysis. Donte has reached another level of scoring 3s and going to the hoop, scoring and passing for offensive opportunities Give a go at his defensive play. Knicks D is a big part of who they are and Donte plays a role there, too
this is the most humble comment
Donte reminds me of what Jordan Poole was during the warriors championship run and im all here for it
Well, the biggest issue with Dante was him recovering from that injury and opportunity
Curry changed bro so much now he making his own name
Donte watched Jrue Holiday play defense, learned the mid range from Khris Middleton, and then watched J Poole, Steph and Klay shoot 3’s. This is the avatar
The big ragu Donte 🥶🥵🥶🥵
I always thought, Divincenzo, Jordan Poole, and also Jamal Murray are the closest things to Steph Curry in the league rn

I’m not a name dropper but I know guys who made it to the league and guys who played overseas.. and a few that did both. They all said the same things. 90% of the league can be star players.. they just have to get lucky and find the right team that uses them in the right way. I think Donte found his system. Happy for him, Brunson, and Hart. Do you think the knicks will find a way to trade for Mikal?

If they could they would, he would be the perfect fit but would push Donte to the 6th man role which im sure he'd be fine Wirth & he'd probably still get close to 30 mins a game. Nets aren't dealing Bridges tho. They have some inflated idea that he's a number one option which is why he's been struggling this season. They're actually doing him a disservice IMO putting those expectations on him when really he's not even the second option on a championship team. Nets supposedly turned down 3-4 first round picks and Jalen Green from the Rockets at the deadline. INSANE move by them lol. But the Knicks & Nets also haven't done a trade together since 1983 lol, they aint sending him in the same city. He would be the perfect fit too. It's too bad he got dealt to the Nets because that's probably the only place the Knicks have zero chance of acquiring him. Think he would make them title contenders 100%

A lot of guys are going to have to step up in big ways now, some of are best guys were taken out by the 76ers, which since I got my Jordans in 1984 I've never seen 2 of the dirtiest players and plays on the same team , to the point they don't even get along, Embiid took out Robinson for the rest of the season from the dirtest play I've ever seen, he tried to get a call by flopping on the floor after running into Anunoby (whose out too) Robinson goes to dunk and while Embiid was still on the floor he grabbed his legs pulling him to the floor were he landed on his left ankle funny,Randles a big miss and so is Bogdanovic ,he can come off the bench and sink 4-5 3 pointers, and now Brunson?
He was always this good kerr didnt use him
