This is 30 yrs later… 30 YEARS!! Gary is 60+ now and Nuno is 57.. they’re killin’ it!! All the songs on this new album are really, really good; please consider reacting to Other Side of the Rainbow too, you won’t be sorry! Thanks for your thoughtful reaction… (rock is still alive and well)!!

Thanks for reacting to this. Extreme might be one of the most Underrated bands, ever. So many people think they were all about "more than words". While they do take a page out of the Queen book from the sense that they can cover all genres and are very diverse, they are a hard rock or funk metal band at heart. Anyway, this is 1 of 4 singles off of their new album that just came out - which was their first album in 15 years. If you consider reacting to the other ones, I'll come back to watch and respond / comment on all of them. The other songs that have come out in recent weeks are. "#Rebel", "Banshee", and "Other Side of the Rainbow". All different from each other and all excellent songs.

Hole hearted and Pornograffiti are 2 of my favorite extreme songs! Nuno is a beast!

If you only know More Than Words, then you really don't know Extreme. That was not their sound overall at all. They're outstanding. And Nuno is an absolute beast on guitar.

Great reaction. This new album is updated Extreme , not outdated. Now go watch them live....Boston concert from mid 90's might be one of the best things you could ever see live. That's where a band shows what they are made of...on stage.

You should go back and listen to some old extreme! They only did a couple of ballads, More than Words was the chart hit which is why everyone knows it. But Extreme did some monstrous rock songs. Look for "Get the Funk Out" and "Peacemaker Die" and "Do you want to play"

Hole hearted was a huge hit, play with me was in the mall scene in Bill and Ted's, much don't wanna go to school. Kid ego on MTV in the late 1980s. Plus rest in peace and stop the world were hits in 1993

This is about bands from the '80s, early '90s being brought to the top of the game and then dropped when the new thing came along. i.e. grunge at the time. They lived through it.

Nuno Bettencourt, a proper guitarist doing proper guitarist stuff!!!

The song is about the general music industry. And as for Nuno… one of the best guitarists ever IMO 😊

More than words was t ballad, from what I understand it’s a picture of the music business they put you on a pedestal and then snatch it out from under you

The song is about how the radio industry will pump you up like you're the next big thing and then as soon as something bigger comes along they dump you cold. In a way it could be considered autobiographical because when More than words came out they were gods and then after a couple albums they kind of faded away for a long time and now they're back which I'm thrilled about. Most of their stuff is this type of sound it's not the More than words style. The only thing that's closest on the new album is over the rainbow which I actually think is great and makes a really nice nod to Freddie Mercury in the middle. They have a lot of great songs to check out in the past and the future check out get the funk out, stop the world, holehearted, and some of the new stuff like #rebel, banchee and X out

They have five albums before their current one and you need to hear them! There's a reason why they are called Extreme 😊

You only know "More Than Words"? Surely, you've also heard "Hole Hearted" too and just don't recall.

If all you heard from Extreme is More than Word or Hole hearted , you have not listened to Extreme ... Get the Funk Out, He Man Woman Hater, etc stuff of Pornographity or III Side are great stuff.

He's taking shots at tge music industry. Like how they pick the new it band/person and praise him and make everyone think he's the kings shit, and then bring them back down to nothing.

#rebel is way way way better

Anyone who thinks they're a great guitarist, need to watch this video, listen to more Extreme, then go away, and learn to play guitar. End of.

As a fan of the late 80s and early 90s Extreme, this whole album was a huge disappointment! Just doesn't sound like Extreme at all!

I felt exactly the same way, but I listened again and again and then it hit me, it wasn't Extreme that needed to change. It was me.
