I’m 72. Because of you (and Rick Beato), I have started listening to new music again after not having done so for several decades. Of all the acts you’ve brought my attention to, Louis is, by far, my favorite. Thanks a lot man. Finding new music is one of life’s joys.

Saw Louis Cole in Manchester at the Ritz. Absolutely magic. Louis surrounds himself with incredible musicians which creates this magic storm on stage where he is pushing himself, his band is pushing themselves, and they all land in this perfect racing lane of wonderful music. There's so many details, so many explosions of sonic colour... it's incredible.

Dude! When that video came out, i was CERTAIN it would be going viral in short order. But it didnt seem catch on the way i thought it would. I watched that video atleast 15 times, watched each person individually, and theres so many funny little things you'll notice, that you hadnt with one watch. Louis totally rules. Brilliant.

Hey Justin, I discovered Louis Cole around the same time as Jacob, and I'm also hooked to both! They are apparently friends (there is a YT clip of them jamming together, I think Eleanor Rigby, way back when they were known as jazz musicians)

One of my favorites, too, both artist and this song. My understanding is he did play the bass.

Lady Cab Driver was a least a subconscious influence on the vibe of this song...or he and Prince were drawing water from the same funk well.

Totally agree that Louis is one of the greatest musicians and artists on the planet. He has it all: incredible rhythmic chops, catchy and durable melodies, rich harmony, comical lyrics, hilarious dance moves/videos and a unique wardrobe. Louis is king 👑

Maybe that was a label - stable dealio. Whatever the haps, the combination of talents produced some jammin' funk grooves and ethereal melodies.

Louis Cole is amazing!! I think Louis has used my favorite monster of a bassist, Sam Wilkes, on a few things, don't know if he's on this track. Thanks, Justin, for all you do!

Sam’s around for a lot of live stuff but Louis does his own bass work on his records. There’s a little video on YT, search ‘im tight (bass part)’ of Louis playing the isolated bass.

The new KNOWER album (well, I say new but it's a year old) is possibly the best album I've ever heard start-to-finish

I've definitely listened to this song on repeat for at least a day before, might be my fave Louis Cole song. Definitely check out the new KNOWER album, it's got some banging tunes on it

Saw him live in a London EarTH club with Knower. He is absolutely OUT THERE incredible. Kind of got a level 42 - Mike Lindup feel to him. Also really like Thundercat atm.

Louis Cole is THAT powerful.

This album from last year, Quality Over Opinion, was really solid, not to mention stylistically all over the place, and then he and his writing partner Genevieve put out one of KNOWER's best albums just months later. Cole can do it all, from from the Clowncore nonsense of Bitches and Let Me Snack to the Stevie Wonder's marching band of Park Your Car On My Face and I'm the President, from the indelible groove of I'm Tight and Overtime to the soul rattling beauty of Let it Happen and Crash the Car, this tall skeleton has got the goods (and the wardrobe).
