I think that Blender is even more accesible then After Effects, mainly because it's free and there are so many tutorials and resources for it. So really, that video title could also have been used a few years ago when Blender 2.8 was released.

As a Cinema 4D animator, I can tell this looks very easy to do, and will probably be very good for those who don't want to learn C4D complex surface/shadow tracking. As someone who can't get along with the AE interface, I will probably never use it, but I can see lots of people getting into 3D by using this resource, and maybe even migrating to C4D and Maya after getting comfortable with the basic concepts. Nice video!

@@thesilliestcookieeater I agree with you, but I'd still not use blender because Cinema 4D has more practical uses in the market, and until not so long ago its interface was trash. Nowadays it uses basically the same interface as Cinema 4D, so I can see why one could start there, but I still think that learning Cinema 4D first is the easiesty way to get into profissional 3D and subsequently into Maya. Blender is a very comprehensive software. With it, you can do a multitude of different things. That's where people get overwhelmed with it. FInd one thing that you want to learn in Blender and then find tutorials about in Blender. Way easier than trying to learn everything about Blender all at once. Once you get good at one aspect move on, but be patient. Blender is amazing. I love it and I find it easier than UE and After Effects but each software has it's strengths and weaknesses. Big plus is Blender is free and not as taxing on your computer as the other softwares. Just my opinion. Good luck on your journey.
