I'm pretty sure he expects a bit of basic knowledge, why would someone try to learn VFX before being a little familiar with the workspace? I mean importing things is not advanced skills. @@sunainasunaina6476

This is still a bit complicated, especially with the breakdown of HDRI and node setups. I wouldn't say the tutorial is difficult, but for beginners may find this tricky just navigating through what you are explaining

I'm still lost and maybe thats just because my brain has a slow processor lol but (I haven't looked yet) do you have a tutorial on Nodes and how to create a node tree? That is the one thing that I just cannot quite fully grasp, I really wish I could take in-person classes on blender asa whole because im more of an in-person learner, watching tutorials and actually retaining any information has always been difficult for me. You are super talented btw.

Solid tutorial, I'm just having a couple issues - my HDRI isn't appearing in the scene so I can't adjust the rotation and when I tick transparent, my shadow catcher plane doens't dissapear.

Yeah, I always go to beach and lay on sand with my laptop, when I'm modelling in Blender. How else would anyone do that? Sitting at the desk in their room? Pfff! Nonsense... Also, nice tutorial. Thank you for showing the compositor nodes :)

Dude, it's never going to get any easier than this, so don't complain about it. VFX isn't going to be like, "Oh, I can just do this with a single click and call it a day," no. This is for VFX beginners, not Blender beginners.

can someone help? for some reason my original image doesnt show up in the final render or compositor, only the model and i cant find a way to make it appear.

You can do it with lower performance laptop too, probably a scene like this is easy also on an nVidia 2070. For complex and high demanding VFX you need a studio to control the footage recording’s conditions and the laptop connected to its power, if a laptop is enough. He is just sponsoring here.

This was a very good and informative video man, but I do find that sponsorship sort of dishonest, as you make it seem like the laptop would be able to perform just fine and render your video in an outside environment without its power supply. In truth, the laptop's performance (and especially that of the GPU) drops dramatically when the power supply is not connected, and the battery is quickly drained. Those graphs you showed were obviously of when the power supply is connected.

But what is you try to make VFX using a weak laptop like the one that a subscriber sent you in a video cuz not everyone can afford RTX 4090 or something like that.
