Happened to me after updating to iOS 16.6.1 as well. I’m waiting to see if updating to iOS 17 will fix this

My iPhone gets hot after playing Roblox why for like 2 mins

13mini, honestly KZread has helped big time in destroying this baby battery with daily overheating. Max brightness max resolution, and multi hour long videos Over 5G yep. 86% health it’s already lagging just scrolling on the home screen between pages. It’s getting bad 😩😩 My XS Is at 77% health and is fine scrolling it’s does get hot of course but does still yet I’m Amazed!!

Taking pictures makes my phone hot, dum and the yellow triangle shows up in my camera. All apps closed. No games. Even looking at photos in photos app makes it get hot and dim

the iPhone (battery) overheats because of running processes in the background and no way of stopping it aside from restarting your phone because IOS doesn't permit independent applications that can close them or slow down the processor so the next time you use your iPhone bring along an egg and fry it up.

None of this works, my iPhone 12 never got hot but after installing ios 16.6 it started to heat up just listening to music, seriously and I paid $900 a year ago.

My back glass on a iPhone 12 Pro Max is shattered. I ordered a back glass and was picking off the glass so it’s ready while I wait. Got 90% of the glass off. When I’m on FaceTime or Snapchat video call it heats up in the top right corner facing the back and then it says to cool down the phone. Is that just because of the glass cuz it never happened till I took the glass off and I didn’t damage anything

As I’m watching this video right now at 10% brightness my 14 Pro Max is heating up. I make sure all updates are done regularly but the battery drain is still persistent along with the overheating.

I just got a 14 pro like 5 days ago and then upgraded to ios 17.0.3 like 2 days ago. At most time the phone works pretty well, but it’s the third time time, the phone starts to warm up significantly and I can feel it cause I am currently not using any case ,even if I am watching utube, and drains battery much faster. So I just power off the phone and turn it back on and baam, it’s back to normal. No heating no battery drain. I was worried that I might have got a defective piece, but looks like this is happening to everyone. I think it’s cause the processor works too much cause the processor area heats up even thought we r not doing anything , which is a software bug. Normal users won’t notice this because they use a case and just think that it’s a battery drain issue

In other words, take the cover off your phone and don’t use the phone. That way it won’t overheat.

My iPhone 14 pro max gets hot all the time for no reason. I could be texting someone or watching a KZread video and it’ll get super hot to touch.

I reaaaally didn’t want to update my phone but some apps stopped working so I looked on Reddit to see if the update was a good idea and soo many people were saying how important it was to always update so I did. Now that I did my phone is immediately overheating when it never did before. Think this is the last straw I’m switching to android.
