I thought the same! I remember taking a skate trip to Chicago with some friends back in high school to hit some old spots and Wilson skatepark. Day 1, first spot, we're skating a school with some chill locals on the way to the park and my buddy pretty much broke his ankle on a sketchy 5 set, he was the cameraman for the rest of the trip sadly...I don't even know if he ever went to the doctor for it but we came back the next year and killed it!

Yeah I went to Rio for a skate comp many years ago and we flew in a few days early so we figured to find some spots first spot hit I snapped my ankle and couldn't compete

Nobody's gonna mention the single leg tricks, like that was sick asf. The injury blows sure but he just showed you can't fail the braille

Hey, you can always watch videos. Trust me, I know the feeling I’m 52, and I broke my back 25 years ago. I started skating at 10 years old.

You got me into skating and then I got my girlfriend and her niece into it too. It’s something we can all do together and I thank you for that! Heal up!! 💙💙

I recently broke my arm and they put a titanium plate in there with 13 screws. Never had surgery either. I was super worried before, but it went fine and I'm glad I have it now. All the best Aaron

I shattered my collarbone in a pretty bad motorcycle accident a couple of years ago. The doctors had to do the exact same thing, put in a metal plate with 11 screws in order to put it back together. I feel for you brother, it's no fun and the recovery takes a minute, but you're gonna make it through and come out a bionic man on the other side 💪

I had something similar. My collarbone broke in two places in a car accident. They ended up leaving it as is (I wasn't in a place I could make decisions like that for roughly a week after the crash due to head trauma). So now it's in three pieces with scar tissue connecting them. Most of the time it's fine. But when I get active it starts to ache and I think I should got back and let them rebreak it and put it back together again.

that snap you are hearing is the skateboard being slapped into the concrete as he puts his weight into the foot with the board underneath his foot. If the board wasn't under his foot, he probably wouldn't have broken it

I'm 35 this year and sometimes I miss skateboarding and want to get back into it. But I think that time has passed, I don't want to get injured. The Risk to Reward ratio as you get older just gets higher and higher. Wish you a fast recovery bro

Wish you a quick recovery Aaron! I started up with skateboarding on January this year and fell in love with it! I made it up to the ollie, shuvit and just recently the noseslide & your videos really lit my fire for skateboarding! Sadly I overdid it last month and overloaded my achilles tendon, it's not ruptured but the doctor told me to pause for another month at least, so I kinda connect with you & your injury in the summer season :( My question would be if you could do a video on some rehab tips or so? That be awesome :)

Aaron, the most important is take care of yourself first, take the time :) I had a knee surgery years ago (before KZread times), I though I would not be able to come back as powerful as I was before. At this time, I would really love being inspired / reassured by other guys having same situations. Some videos on how to be back after a surgery would be amazing! But really first take your time for you and your familly.

I broke my foot in 4 places from skateboarding . I went through a lot of the emotions that you went through. Got the surgery. Got the plates and screws. I’m now 4-5months later am walking and continuing my healing. You got this Aaron!

I recently watched you afew months ago when I started getting back into skating, and I went to a skatepark for the first time yesterday and messed up my right knee pretty bad, crunched and everything, it's crazy to see this video the next day whilst I use a cane to walk until I heal 😂, Speedy recovery my man. I'll keep on skating because you motivated me before
