The competition has gotten weak. I guarantee if a company starts pumping out really good games. They can literally obliterate the competition.

This was such a "be careful what you ask for" moment. Even in your gameplay it'll glitch out all over the place. Vadim or somebody went through the PC files and the DE is just the mobile port all over again with some AI overlay. This really was a cheap, just in time for the holidays release

Worst thing is. This is the SECOND time a mobile port was double ported into a so called remaster. Know why Crash and Spyro worked so well? Cause time and effort went into those remakes and other great remakes and remasters. Even the Jak and Sly HD collections. Were mostly just a coat of paint and some audio enhancements. Those were vastly better than these garbage Definitive Edition knockoffs of the originals. But Take Two won't learn. Till they inevitably scorn themselves into bankruptcy when nobody trusts their games anymore and they fail to turn a profit. May take a while sure. But plenty of us already just don't wanna see a Bully 2 or Red Dead 3 or Gta 6 anymore. Because.... I don't want to see those franchised drug through the mud any further. Even IF they fix these games. I'm not buying the Definitive Editions unless the price gets a massive discount. And i mean MASSIVE. These remasters aren't even worth $20. Especially as they are right now.

@@rawflour6757 Well, what he meant is the DE is derived from the mobile version that GSG (Formerly War Drum) did a few years ago. You still can see bits of the mobile port in DE, and a number of the bugs here are present in that mobile port.

When a game is new I’d let some bugs and issues off the hook but these games are almost 20 years old. Some older than others. So we have the right to critique these bugs and glitches. I encountered a game breaking bug where if I do the Blood Bowl arena in San Fierro, my game crashes whenever I save the file.

This game breaking bug was on Xbox, not sure if the other platforms have it. The workaround is to manually load your last save. If you are going for 100% and this glitch happens to you I recommend doing Blood Bowl as the last activity.

Honestly: pulling the older versions from storefronts and issuing takedowns of fan patches is tantamount to shooting a families' dog so that you can sell them a mangy coyote as replacement. It's utterly scummy, and frankly it's crossed the line for me. I won't be giving Rockstar my business ever again after this, no matter how polished and professional their next releases are. It makes me not even want to watch GTA-related content on KZread anymore. I enjoyed the in-depth lore videos and character analysis on channels like this and Guinness Walker; but after this dumpster fire it just feels like the spark has completely gone out. It's like when Games Workshop issued a fatwa against community content that might compete with their streaming service; even though it was largely a toothless threat and fan content was still being made I couldn't bring myself to care about Warhammer anymore after that.

To be fair, the company isnt the ild school rockstar most of us grow up on. They milk gta5 to death, discarded red dead 2 online for gta 5 updates consistently to a point red dead is dead online, and now the remaster is trash. I mean… Go to rockstar’s Twitter page, click any tweet and just read through the replies. They literally get harassed on the daily. Then again, Twitter is a toxic platform to begin with. There was even at one point, a tweet from rockstar posted regarding the passing of the VA of Badman, from GTA4 and the reply section was still full of hate, harassment and gta 6 begging.

Instead of remastering they can add some features like car customisation and haircut like features in gta 4 and optimising the game to run more smoother and fix some bugs we have had earlier

If anything there definitely has been improvement to a lot of character models in San Andreas, my personal favorite being Toreno and almost all the other girlfriends (excluding Denise and Katie)

Mafia 1 Definitive edition is a good remake

I enjoyed the changes they made, but the game wasn't ready. It needed another 6 months to a year in development.

Rockstar said this was in development for two years. Also, it wasn't that they wanted it out before the holidays, they wanted it out for the Anniversary of GTA III.

It's time to realize that there is no hope for Rockstar.

I don't think they're back on pc yet. Just checked the Rockstar launcher store- they're only showing the definitive one right now. The fact that it's a bundle is concerning. They haven't released a price, and they're selling Bully for 15 bucks. My guess is the classic bundle will be at least 40 bucks, if not more.

I’ve also encountered a glitch on the mission just business where at the end when you escape the enemy’s your just sitting on the bike where the game doesn’t progress or nothing the only way to fix it is to complete all other missions until the first crash mission

I haven't had problems with san andreas other than small things but gta 3 and vice are unplayable don't do side missions waste of time and they don't save progress and there's not even a mission checkpoint system in 3 and can't do the phone mission in vice city

The glitch on that MADD DOGG mission was in the original aswell

There's also a game breaking bug on xbox that if you die during a mission you cant move your character, like he gets stuck and you can only aim. You have to restart a save file to be able to move again

I feel that R* will get better once they get away from Take-Two. Take-Two will be the downfall of R* if they keep this up. I know the Trilogy was done by another developer but it still reflects on R* and Take-Two. They need to do better or break away from Take-Two. Edit: okay so I'm gonna clear this up since I'm "acting like R* is a good company." I know R* isn't a good company. And maybe in the past they never were. I don't know I was a kid in the past and I didn't care. I just wanted to play Grand Theft Auto and shoot NPC's. All I'm trying to say that maybe, just maybe, there is still hope for R*. They make good games but it's very obvious the situation in the work place is shit and whoever is running the show is fucking up big time. But you also have to remember no Corporation is perfect. No matter how often we tell ourselves they are the truth is they aren't. People need to learn it's not some thing of this only being T2, stop hiding from the fact R* is equally as guilty as T2, even IF for some reason T2 was gone, nothing or close to nothing would change

I remember playing this on my PS5 early when an error on the PlayStation Store. The glitches on the GTA trilogy, I experience the glitch on cj arms, game crashes when I enter cj house and the restaurants(Like the clucken bell), and the invisible bridge.

The throat slitting bug in Madd Dog's mansion was in the original I distinctly remember it.

Remember you got a bug in Catalina's second mission

It would've been easier if Rockstar released each game as a remaster separately. The money would've been made regardless because of the quality that we grown to know from the company. I guess quality no longer matters to them.

I encountered the Doberman glitch too. It is infuriating

I was considering of pre-ordering this on Xbox, but I held back. I’m glad I did. I decided to play GTA: SA on Game Pass just to see what I come across. I’ve come up with a few different glitches or bugs like when the cutscene are running the subtitles show up below the bottom edge of our 55” TV not to mention the title card with all the copyright information shifting off screen to the left to where you can’t read the start of each line. One major issue I’ve come across is the first Caesar mission where you have to race. The picture freezes at the first left you have to take which takes me out of the zone and have not finished this in first place. I may not get it the first time, but not after about 6 or 7 times. As of this writing I haven’t gone past it. I’ll get it after I’ve taken a break from my frustrations.

Mastermind plan. Release a bugged remaster then apologize then release the classic version and let people buy the same game twice

Believe it or not, the part where you can stab the guy without actually stabbing him is a thing in the original too. The only difference is that CJ's animation actually finishes in the OG version instead of freezing up.

Here's a little heads up to fellow PS2 players, if you go into system configurations and set the screen to 4:3 it'll slightly crispen the image, especially if you're playing Vice City and you go to 'display' in the pause screen and turn off 'trails', (the motion blur sorta thing). It helps a little bit on my modern-ish Samsung TV anyway 💁‍♂️

You failed to mention the part where in Mad Dog's mansion, you got clipped even though you were in the shadows

Except most of the people that worked on the trilogy no longer works for Rockstar.

I was waiting to see a reaction response from the professional after binge watching the walkthroughs i had the same reactions to the glitches and odd things about the game rockstar made a big mistake

Hey pro. The glitch at 18:10 where u stab enemies without actually stabbing them is a glitch from the original. I have been playing San Andreas recently on my ps4 before rockstar removed it. Sometimes cj will do the stabbing animation n sometimes he won’t. I especially know this because I take advantage of this glitch when speed running this mission. Sometimes u can achieve the same effect on the guards that are standing if u do it just right. No I’m not defending take 2 or grove street games but I have noticed many ppl attributing glitches that have always been in the game to this terrible port. Just wanna clarify

Doesn't this technically count as price gouging? Even if it does fit yhe dictionary or legal definition, Take2 is still effectively forcing the market to go in a certain direction by abusing their supposed authority to eliminate competition in the form of independent PC Modders. That sounds like a monopoly to me

I don't believe that's legally enforceable. Also, we'd need to read the terms of service for those original games, because they can say there that modding the game is not allowed. And if they say so, I believe that, as immoral as it is, they have the legal high ground.

I like your rants man, mostly because I agree with them

I just recently bought the trilogy when it went on sale earlier this year, and so far, I haven't had any of the issues listed in this video. Rockstar has really been working on it, I suppose.

It's not their games. Technically it belongs to rockstar, but they truly belong to the old development team who did an awesome job. If the old employees were still there I guarantee gta online wouldn't have been a thing and new games would be pumping out. Rockstar should really hire better or pay their employees better. I can only see these as 2 major factors. If they don't pay their employees or pay them less than they deserve shame on Rockstar, shame on the CEO and top level management. 🤦

it doesn't matter how much money a company has 50 games 50 GAMES since 1980 have released with negative reviews sonic the hedgehog 2006, ET, Simpsons wrestling, cyberpunk 2077, WWE 2k20 Batman Arkham Knight, Aliens, Just to name a few these things have happend since the 1980s i can list those 50 games if you wish

The better question is why the fuck does anyone let rockstar and take two get away with this shit. If EA, Bethesda, Ubisoft, literally anyone but R* and T2, made this remaster they would be fucking crucified for this. EA got crucified by literally fucking everyone including politicians for Battlefront II (2017) and the main problem with that, if the only problem with it, was that it contained lootboxes! AND THEY FUCKING REMOVED SAID LOOTBOXES TWENTY FOUR HOURS BEFORE THE GAME EVEN RELEASED! Yet fucking everyone, including me, fucking shat on the whole goddamned game for this. "The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes" a comment about Battlefront II (2017) made by EA is a fucking comment that has -600,000 downvotes on reddit and was made into a meme for situations exactly like what we see with GTA DE. Go anywhere on the subreddits and such and you'll see a ton of shills just acting like this shit is fine when it's not. Like it's worthy of dropping 60 bucks when it's not. Like it's not a huge steaming pile of shit. Like the 0.5 metacritic score is undeserved. Fucking mind boggling, and it's the same thing with literally anything rockstar puts out, games and DLCs included! Especially with GTA Online and RDO!

This is reminding me a lot of the Cyberpunk 2077 situation last year. I bought that game on release day and I swore to myself I am never going to be buying a game right away ever again and I am glad I made that decision because I really did want to buy the definitive edition when I first heard about it. I didn’t start playing gta until gta4 so I never got to experience the older games and it looks like I am still never going to experience the older games.
