India is Culture of Namaste. Never stop saying Namaste even if someone doesn't reply you with the same greetings.
Only one community has issues with saying no namaskar and happy diwali but we spend our entire lives being secular and welcoming of them, their festivals, their practices but he has no qualms about not wishing a traveller or a guest of India a simple "Happy Diwali" and saying "this is a Mohmmedan street." It is such a disgrace. They are able to say such things because we are tolerant and secular but they are the most intolerant people in the world. But anyway it's the same problem all around the world with these guys, hope you have a great trip bro.

Being a sikh, I never had problem with namaskar or namaste, mostly in our familes sometimes our hindu neighbours says sat shri akal to our parents and even we says namsate uncle ji or uncle ji namaskar and this is the reason we feel inclusive in each others famlies and festivals...... In past, i also use to respect muslim community ,, i lived in australia and muslim classmates use to target non muslim girls and make them awkward,,, in india if we try to visit mosques as a tourist,,, most of times one person comes out of no where and keep on asking to start following islam,, due to their this behaviour like they are only first citizens on this earth i lost respect for this peaceful community,, never ever trust these stupid people,,,

I am also from rishikesh 😂😂😂. It is really peaceful place. You can see temples churches and gurudwara here but not mosque. Rishikesh public will never tolerate mosque there 😂😂😂. Even our school and colleges railway station doesn't provide urdu language.. Yoganagri railway station of rishikesh is written in English hindi and sanskrit not in urdu. In uk government school sanskrit is compulsory till graduation. Uk government has its own sanskrit books. It is the importantance of sanskrit. 😅😅😅😮

Delhi is so chaotic lmao. I would stay in tier two Indian city as an Indian myself. Avoid Delhi and mumbai if u wanna be off the chaos. The desert states of Rajasthan and Gujarat are best for forts and history, tamil nadu is best for tropical forests and Munnar and kochi in kerala is beautiful and you can never go wrong with the Himalayas up north. Ladakh, Himachal pradesh are good in Himalayan ranges. Also The northeast of India has amazing rainforests!! Hope u travel all these places! ❤

It just goes to show how backward and pathetic their mindsets are. I have never seen a hindu not greet another person back in salam or satsriakal or merry Christmas, etc. Never. Imagine how negative their thoughts are about non muslims if something as small as namaskar and Happy diwali can trigger them. This fundamwntalism and extremism is what rezults in the bursts of violence against non muslims and against each other wherever this community is. I am sure not all are like this but unfortunately most are.
