This is B-21 RAIDER: The Key to Winning a War against China

Ғылым және технология

For years now, the Air Force has been ordering a minimum of 100 B-21 Raiders, at a rate of 10 jets per year to replace its oldest bombers. It will be lucky if it can declare its first squadron operational by 2027. Meanwhile, multiple heads of the Air Force Global Strike Command, along with other observers, have suggested that the U.S. really needs more stealth B-21s.
Most recently, STRATCOM boss Gen. Anthony J. Cotton stressed the importance of producing B-21 Raiders at a faster rate.

Nearly but a trillion dollars is not enough and when you compare the percentage of GDP from the Cold war to today it is laughable. The US has cut the US military budget for decades. The is asking the military to do far more and handle interest all over the world but people are mistaken about the military. Inflation alone means the US military once again got a budget cut this year and last.

The bottleneck is not only the bombers themselves, but how many precision-guided missiles/ munitions can the US produce in a certain period of time? A rapid dragon system pallet can drop up to 45 missiles (the size of the deployment boxes is configurable and ranges from 4 to 45 AGM-158B JASSM-ER (extended range) cruise missiles, according to Wiki); that will always be quite a chunk of the total inventory for any expensive weapon.

In order to buy more weapons taxes would have to go up in the US which is always unpopular. A lot of folks do not realize the US tax rates previous generations paid to cover war-times. The tax rate for WW1 was 77% and the tax rate during WW2 rose to 94% and remained at 91% for nearly two decades-until 1964. The US coasted for 20 years financially and then just started pilling on National Debt to cover our bills. So, if you want more military toys, then you should be open to raising taxes to pay for them.

Decades of budget cuts have cut the military down to the point where we just can't keep up with so many growing threats around the US. US interest will suffer around the world and we risk a war starting because people are seriously confused about the military budget. The budget isn't nearly enough for what us asked of the military.

The USAF plans for a fleet of 100 B-21 bombers. The unit cost of one of the bombers was contractually set at $550 million in the original 2015 contract, in current dollars, each B-21 must come in under $778 million. The B-21 is slower with a max speed of only MACH 0.8 opposed to MACH 0.95 for the B-2, has a 25% less payload: 30,000 lbs vs 40,000 for the B-2 and a much shorter range of only 2,500 miles compared to the incredible 6,900 miles of the B-2. So how is it better and why does it rate such a high price tag? Well, the B-21 is a 6th generation aircraft with superior stealth but with huge costs in performance of everything else. Corruption. Politics.

Buff ain't going no where.. it is literally the go to bomber for almost every mission. B1 and B2 is our strike aircraft and with the B1 being the only supersonic aircraft, I seriously doubt it will go anywhere. Look at the A-10, the air force is always looking at new and shiny and disregarding functionality. The F-35 was supposed to replace the A-10, it was even said that it could out preform the A-10 and got smacked down hard because it was over sold and under preformed. So, top brss needs to be focused on what works and not what's pretty!

So if the US needs anywhere from 225 - 300 stealth bombers right now, we are talking about insane costs that are NOT possible, period! The B12 has a current, inflation-adjusted average procurement unit cost of $692 million, meaning that it translates to a total cost of upwards of $155.7 - $207.0 TRILLION if these unit costs do not increase over time. These costs also assume no losses of any bombers to the fleet and excludes maintenance and upgrade costs, the costs of weapons systems and the ordinance they will use, and any operational costs. Are you military leaders in the USAF specifically - and the Pentagon generally - so out of touch with reality that you cannot see that ONE weapons platform will consume almost all of the already substantial annual military budget if you get what you want? And exactly how is the current American economy supposed to support this fantasy, where we literally now have deficit spending of nearly $1 TRILLION every 100 days (courtesy the Federal Reserve monetizing our debt and both Congress' and the Executive branch's horrible fiscal policy, which is creating massive inflationary pressure for the rest of the economy), and with interest payments on the national debt alone now approaching an unacceptable $1 TRILLION annually. Do you military strategists realize that there are also strategic advantages to using lower cost yet easily replaceable military assets? Do you military thinkers ever consider economic reality when military planning is involved? Or are all of the flag officers economic illiterates who can't figure out that if you have no economy - or treasure to spend - then you have no weapons! PS Spare me the jobs argument, as the government took money from the private economy to make something that has no real utilitarian value outside of war, and it does so very inefficiently without ever having to suffer the economic consequences of failure or bad allocation of limited resources, at least until the economy itself collapses. If that was true otherwise the Soviet Union would never have failed!

We should be making Ai vids of crazy space and sea and hidden tech that sends chills up their back sides so they think we are taking it all to serious we look like a business going under . And generals making public statements that they wish they had planes that they want just makes China make like cookies .
