This is a good idea. I'm definitely doing the same tonight. When i got mine i was shocked the terminals and wires were exposed and so loosely fitted.
Although I can fix these things myself, I shouldn't really have to.
That style of power supply was not made for open use, they are made to be mounted in a cabinet/enclosure as part of controls etc. Still requires to be wired properly.

indeed, the whole thing should be mounted permanently on a wall or under a bench
The transformer looks like the one I got to power the diesel heater... From China obvs 🤷🏻♂️
I got the Tuxing one from the A site and its very well built; even though there are no proper terminals on the converter the wiring is well done and tight (I checked everything before using it) so far so good and it was the cheapeast at the time too
very good test and message - thx
I'll have to get one of them. Stirrup pump nearly killed me 😩. Thank you for the review 🙏

Agreed, pumping by hand is no joke 🥵
That type of PSU is supposed to be installed *_inside_* a piece of equipment, not used as a piece of user safe gear.
What is the go with the flap over wires ? You have to stick your fingertips under the flap to access
I know from a friend who bought same type of compressor but with brand tuxing, that you cannot change lubrication inside easily and you have to open it and wipe parts manually instead of having just a drain plug to remove old oil and if you leave it like that oil become sticky like gum and this brakes the metal rod in his case 3 times that I know for 6 months.

Something I’ll have to keep an eye on. Thanks for the heads up.
Hi, I watched this video when you put it out and was quite impressed 👍. I'm at the point of getting one myself Artemis M25 on way and it's got a massive air chamber so as you say the hand pump will probably polish me off, I'm 58 so looking for a less fatal way to charge 😂. How is it running after 2 months usage ?. Thanks, love your videos 🙏

It's still working well. I have heard that quality control is not great on these, you either get a good one or a bad one. Just make sure you buy from somewhere with a good returns policy. I filled my 0.22l bottle from empty the other day, takes about three minutes.

Thanks, still here. Just got a lot going on with the house. Extending the kitchen and installing a log burning stove/boiler. Hopefully normal video uploads will commence shortly.

@@Maddogairguns I'm glad to hear that all is well. My wife and I truly enjoy your down to earth humor, as well as all the great content you put out.
Hey maddog I just got into hpa and I live in remote area I know you're not fond of handpump but it's really my only option for the moment. I would pay for it just let me know unfortunate compressor is expensive but qc should be better than this
162€ of dangerous 😂
I agree with @gavinwilln7571 that PSU is an internal spare for a machine, I have used ring crimps on mine, its safer, impossible to pull out without losing the screws
