You will need the tuning barrel, so that you have the thread sticking out the front of the gun. Then the silencer can screw onto it.

I’d love to get one if it added power like the regular extended barrel. I hope they make one for the 68 too!!

i am surprised you never kept a HDP>50 . i manage to keep 3 with me ,my original 3 going on 2 years now . i started with 4 but sent one back lol . i have learned as much as anyone living what makes em tick . let me tell ya mate once all the internals have been filed , smooth out , fit and precisely fitted and polished , these markers are incredible . in the real firearm world , each weapon goes through this process before they are sent out into the public for a reason . so i took the same concept to the paintball marker world ! my HDP's all perform flawlessly ! they all fire in any position ,because in the real world you may have to fire sideways , upside down , up , down , etc., etc, etc. ............. through my makeover they always fire no matter what with the exception of those stupid solid rubber balls , especially not heavily coated with an extreme amount of silicone oil because when they load , the loading/sealing gate does put some tension and squish down on the balls . i didnt buy these markers to shoot em anyways , when plinking , i use solid nylon or steel balls anyways ! like i always said from the very beginning , i would rather have 3 Umarex HDP's than just one byrna !!!... all this time , i still only use 12 gram co2 i have all the accessories but i am not looking to go over the max 42.93 joules !!! . these things were intended to be less than lethal . i also keep my HDR.68 which i have also kept . i got into them about 3 months after dissecting the hdp's . so all this times well over a 1000 shots , they all are still working as intended . ... i have built several of each including hdr.50's .the hdr.50 is the hardest one to maintain and develop good power with just products from HD-24 . i am talking 7.5 or 11 joule version , using just 12 gram co2 hd-24 tuning barrels and specialty firing pins just as the hdr.68 or hdp's . i personally love modifing the 7.5 joules version a lot more . i guess it stills boils down to personal preference !!!! i find the occasional farting etc. to be annoying and not so trust worthy its the reason , i never kept one for all this time !!! LOL. dont get me wrong ,properly tuned , specialty firing pin and 2 piece tuning run/barrel , especially the all steel ones from home defence -24 they can still develop 30 plus joules , am just partial to the 38 to 42,93 joules from the others a little more . with all of these markers , just removing the valve blocks gives you impressive power and still on the less than lethal concept . one day , i will build myself a hdp.50 carbine with hpa tanks and all for more of a home defense marker . i enjoyed the show my brother , keep up the good work !!!! and remember to keep it LESS THAN LETHAL !!!! LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, nothing has gone quiet, I tested this hd24 silencer. With the original packing and with rockwool. I tested the decibels with my phone (indoors). It does not make any difference. Thats kinda sad because it seems like it takes some power away, but it does not really make it more quiet. At least, that's what my ears and my app say.
