The mantra I grew up with, is that you need to zero your scope, with the same ammo that you plan on using full time, whether at the target range or hunting. If you zeroed your scope with ammo that has a higher velocity than the subsonics, that might partly explain why the subsonics were hitting low compared to the other two types of ammo, all other things being equal. In the US, CCI, Aguila, and Armscor seem to be regarded as the higher quality brands of ammo, when it comes to 22 rimfire. My main problem these days, is I can't find a local store that sells 22 Short ammo - I have an old Reminton Model 24 rifle that can only use 22 Short - and I have to end up mail ordering the ammo for it.

Rws pellets have always been decent and high quality. I only use them if I've run out of h&n target trophy. Best pellets for weinhrauch rifles in my opinion.
