I prefer the golden HW logo, I think it’s a nice change and looks pretty classy, nice vid as always

@@vseglu9754 SAME! I've been hitting my local store every 3 days recently as I have a feeling New Boulevards are going to drop soon. I have found a full set online but its £65.00. SO Expensive! I can get a full set for £45 so i'll wait. Will be keeping my fingers cross for both of us. Let me know when you finally score a set! Can't wait to open the Honda the most.

Great video. High production values and good camera work. I do feel your comment about only real collectors open a little harsh. I started picking these up back on 2004 and have over 10,000 now. For the most part my collection is still carded. My children will inherit them but I also like the art work and extra protection leaving them sealed. I will admit I have the yellow convention r34 which is worth over a grand and will be an investment piece.

I’m new to video editing and I made a mistake here. If you watch my latest upload you will notice I have now addressed the issue better I hope. Although you may think that calling carded collectors investors harsh. Please make sure you watch my “Moving Parts” Vintage Racing Club video that I uploaded recently as often referenced may times within my other videos. I’m very keen to influence other collectors to open more of the Hot Wheels that they buy as the packaging is just the marketing part and that we buy Hot Wheels for the car not the cardboard. It’s up to you how you spend your money but you wouldn’t buy a can of drink and not open it. Or buy a car and not drive it. Or buy a games console and not plug it in. The same goes for Hot Wheels. Holding the car and building an epic display is something everyone should enjoy in this hobby. Mattel have created the worlds best selling toy and you can collect it in multiple ways. But I bet if you ask any hot wheels designer if they personally design their product to never be opened. All of them would laugh. As you are someone who has been collecting for 20 years now you’re sitting on a lot of self control. Especially as you talk about it as inheritance. If you look at all the top KZreadrs on here none of them are popular for having a carded collection. They all understand. I’m not telling you to open anything. You do you my friend. Keep growing your collection and keep being an awesome Diecast collector too :D wishing you a great day. Nice to chat with you 🚗💨

@elder753 I didn’t know the stores I check even got Pop Culture sets and thought they were only online for us in the UK! A box must hit the shelf and within minutes/hours everything is gone and I’d never know. It’s a difficult one too because if you just want the escort, buying a full set when you don’t want the other 4 is expensive. Wishing you much luck fellow Diecast collector for you next HW hunt. Keep your eye on the entertainer website mate. It’ll come back in stock one day I’m sure. It’s really irritating though because to get your hands on new releases you need to be actively hitting stores as they open 3-4 days a week… oh the joys of collecting toy cars 😂🫡

I’m not immensely bothered, plenty of bargains out there, and plus demand always drops eventually, they’re premiums not rlc’s at the end of the day. And plus I’ve just started doing customs and dioramas, I’m having way more fun and a better investment of my time. Thanks for the good tips pal 🙏❤️.

Appreciate the kind words fellow Diecast collector. You’re a great person. I do have a few $TH that I paid a lot of money for on eBay and I haven’t opened them. However, I must say that personally I focus on Premium sets mainly. Very very difficult to find soup hung up in the UK and I’ve even overheard conversations between staff in training and they are all taught to use their staff discount to buy supers and chase cars. So sad. Not as many Hot Wheels in the UK and very expensive too compared to the US. I am looking to expand the diversity in my content for the channel in the future for sure. I wanted to be different and focus my efforts on races and showcases for now but hopefully I’m doing okay for just 14 videos so far :D wish you a great weekend friend and thanks so much for stopping by. Google a company called Lavendo.

That's a $1.08 per car you stored, not a great price point but they do look really nice. Not so good if you have a 1000 cars to put up.

Dust cover?

Clearly not. Model brushes are the answer my friend. The battle against dust is real. I know this oh too well. If you aren’t willing to take the time to dust your castings then this is not the display for you. Unfortunately big reflective clear plastic dust covers would film badly anyway and reflect the light too much in my videos. Thanks for taking the time to write a comment all the same though. Thanks for stopping by! Which country do you live in as mentioned in the video I purchased this display from a small business in the UK and they don’t ship to any other country. This video is a showcase and review, not an advert. I’m hoping that in time other Diecast collectors will be able to highlight similar products to this in the comment section for this video, as I know the community have great knowledge. I like the traditional HW logo. As for this display... pretty awesome. One tiny problem, dust. Now if they made an acrylic housing for it... or an enhanced sealed box enclosure with a glass door on it, then it would be worth it to me.

Hello. Thanks so much for stopping by and for leaving a comment. Yes dust in the worst for sure. I use a high quality model brush and although it’s annoying and a pain you have to remember that a large reflective surface like an acrylic housing wouldn’t film very well on camera. I can appreciate what you’re saying though. As for the logos. I they good great and superior however they would have been perfect if they were gold foil stamps or similar : ) appreciate you being here fellow Diecast collector. Wish you a great day too!
