This Guy Made Weightlifting History!
Weeraphon Wichuma (THA -73kg) is one of the fiercest weightlifters in the sport, with a trajectory that makes all others look like a plateau. This year he made weightlifting history becoming world champion from the C session as a teenager! He is now a youth, junior and senior world champion.
In this training session he built up to arguably the most impressive training hall lift we have ever filmed (outside of a 215kg Lasha snatch...).

Youth, Junior, Senior world champion... Can he win in Paris?
I love how fired up these lifters get so bad ass makes me want to do it
He’s made rapid progress no doubt;128-160 two years ago as a 67,156-195 now as a 73. They went Mano y Mano at the Asians and Rahmat beat him with his second cl&jk then added more to win by 8 kg so he still has work to do. I think he’s three yrs younger than Rahmat so there might be more room for improvement for him.
I'd call that "sandbagging". I assume he does it so that no one will be in-between his lifts. Then it is just like lifting by yourself in the gym except for the imposed time limit between lifts. However if he does win from the C group, will they no longer let him lift in the C group but rather force him to lift with his actual peers in the A group??
the 73kg group was bonkers at the 2023 world championships. Not just the C group champ, but also 2 top 10 finishes from the D group, and 4 A group members without a total, including the bronze medal in the snatch.
Very strong 😅
Strong kid 🥇
I look forward to every video that comes out, keep it up!!!
Looking forward to seeing his attempt to win in Paris.
I don't he could beat Rahmat on 73kg Clean&Jerk still but who's know if he improve from his Last Asian Games 2023
I live in Bangkok and this video makes me so happy! Thanks for the great content
What are the 2 soundtracks in the beginning fam?
Let’s make Weeraphon the Weapon canon 💪
I always debate the pause at the end of the clean.
beast!!!
very cool
🏋
What does EGAT stand for?
I don't get it. Weeraphon Wichuma did 195kg, Shi Zhiyong did 198kg for a total of 364 kg at the Tokyo Olympics, and we still havent seen the latter at his best.
They will suspend sun !!!
