Thanks so much for this timely video of the update, which as you say is game changing regarding the value of the Colossus Library. I had similar thoughts to you regarding the first version but I can see me using this in many of my productions because of the massive new options it provides. A real plus to Spitfire for acknowledging the limitations of the Library and promptly upgrading its quality and value. Cheers, Neil.

In BBC, you can edit the articulations you want out. Ex : If you only want to use the legato patch in violin 1, click the pen tool, delete what you don't want, save, then refresh.

Absolutely, in fact I made a video a while back that checked that out! A great suggestion and very useful indeed, just takes more time than the new eco load feature. I'm hoping that one might make the jump.

All I can recommend is just dive in - you won’t break it. Tip write notes as you discover things - EDNA is so deep and save “Discovered” patches as you go along. Good luck.

Hey Ken, that is a great idea for a video, I should check it out in detail. It is a complicated interface when you first look at it, but once you know where each of the "typical" synth controls are, it starts to make a lot more sense.

I concur completely on your suggestion to have Spitfire use the Eco Load option to all Spitfire libraries. Love it!

Indeed it can! You can set it to an external drive as you install it. Or, if you've already installed it, you can drag it to a new location, then go back to the SA app and "locate" the library to relink it.

i went for the musio lifetime licence deal,its a future proof deal from cinesamples,and has tons of instruments already in its catalogue the deal still exists,but is now priced at 999$ (lifetime) they are also revamping all their existing instruments,the instruments that are revamped sound great,i think with all that choice,i wont need another library,ever,cheers Stephen

Hopefully will be a good deal - but they have yet to deliver a working solution. As it stands right now it is pretty useless with limited articulations and control. Yes I have seen the road map. But as far as a total solution it’s not there yet.

@@johnbroadway7709 it will in the future John,like you have seen in their roadmap,you already have a lot of articulations,but no keyswitching yet,you couldnt go wrong with the lifetime deal if you see what libraries that are comming for this year only,what will they release in future years to come,cheers John

Nice! There are some amazing sounds, what I love about collecting different libraries is it feels like having different paints and brushes to work with to create your painting on the blank canvas and you are never sure what you may need in the moment. I'll have to check these out.
