    Quadmula said it's pronounced: 'Quad💲Mula' Like Money! 😎 That said, I just picked up this frame at the post office today, and the price is absolutely worth it. The carbon is *CLEAN* …a thing that many frame cutters have seemingly forgotten how to do. No carbon residue, even when wiping with alcohol. No black dust, at all! They say they will send a spare arm, they sent me two spare arms. 3D printed TPU parts included are a big time bonus for me, since I have not yet bought an FDM printer. There has been a lot of thought and care put into this frame, and just as much thought and care in choosing parts to ship with it, and in how they ship it. Fantastic Job, Quadmula!

    I just ordered the 3" Split and looking forward to the build. Just hoping you would consider the Speedybee Master HD our quad of the year. I can't friggin' wait for the snow to leave so I can get out and fly. It has a couple of interesting features, I'm not sure if they are more sales gimmicks including an 03 heat sink built into the frame and a couple of different rubber pads for your flight stack. Thanks, Bacon!!

  • @BaconNinjaFPV

    @BaconNinjaFPV

    I sure am considering that one! Now that CNY is over, I plan on seeing if they want to send me one to look at. The only real issue is having enough budget to actually build one out with parts worth having, lol. I have been very very very tapped for FPV budget lately and it may be 3 or 4 months until I can build another full size quad again. I think the heat sink is a pretty cool feature, and I am not sure how I feel about the isolation pad but it is something I have thought about trying more than once.

    lol, I think Axis Flying has that name on lock already :p Yeah, there isn't much you can do to disrupt the basics on frames any more in this kind of size. Now micros, that market has lots of room since there are still plenty of ways to get the most out of it and weight saving is super impactful. This one is really well thought you, and you can tell how much time they put into it for sure!

    Does somebody know how I could add a 20x20 to 30x30 adapter plate to this stack on the siren f5 mini? I want to use a kiss ultra and the kiss ultra mini isn't out yet. Would I just get shorter m2 screws to go through the press nuts and then mount the adapter plate to that, then use the included screws to do the 30x30 stack on top?

    @BaconNinjaFPV Mr. Ninja, what did you do to fit a SpeedyBee F7 V3 stack into your F5 Split? Did you just get longer stack screws, or take the ESC heat sink off or something? I almost want to de-solder those nice connectors off because this fit is TIGHT!

  • @BaconNinjaFPV

    @BaconNinjaFPV

    Жыл бұрын

    it is absolutely a TIGHT fit. I had to cut my gummies down and then skip the TPU caps. I went with some standard M2 nuts on top which work pretty well to hold it in, but there isn't any room left for a single thing. I asked QM about it and they said they designed it for low profile stacks, but so many of them are just as high as the SB.

    @@BaconNinjaFPVOk, so after playing around with the stack fit, removing the heat sink, and running all the wires under the ESC with the stack backwards, I have to say that this is the absolute best flying quad that I have ever piloted. Thanks for shilling this one!

    Maybe dumb question: props are in the view in this frame correct? I got the normal f5 but don’t think that’ll matter ha

  • @BaconNinjaFPV

    @BaconNinjaFPV

    Жыл бұрын

    not a dumb question at all! Yes the props are in view since the frame has the camera set back in a normalish place on the frame. Most of the ones which don't have props in view are either pushing the front arms back into a deadcat layout or sticking the camera way out front where you are going to whack it every time you crash. Personally, I would rather have props in view and keep my camera in one piece.
