This foundation tip can change your life. It will change the way you apply foundation forever ...
My handcrafted Japanese brushes available to ship worldwide here: bit.ly/1OvBzAR
This trick will hold your foundation in place all day. No excess post powdering. It will also fill in pores and some fine lines! I KNOW! We've been told to powder after foundation, and this makes total sense. And it works. But what works really well is to powder before foundation. After moisturiser and primer THEN YOU POWDER. Then you apply foundation OVER THE POWDER! This will fill in pores. But what it will do is keep your foundation in place all day. If you have dry skin you will not need to powder your foundation after. You can just leave it. For those with very oily skin you will need a touch of powder on the t-zone only. Give it a go. Let me know what you think and the results :) Oh and thumbs up! Thank you!

It's 2021. I just saw this video yesterday. Although skeptical, because let's face it wet product over dry defies logic, I gave it a try today. I really tested it too. I attended a dance recital, luncheon & game night. The temperature was an unforgiving 91 F! I'm 56, my skin's normal, I don't have wrinkles but I do have one fine line between my brows that makeup always seems to highlight IMHO. I have typical discoloration that's the reward for all those fabulous '80s sun tans I got. I began with my fave tinted moisturizer I always prime my skin with. Next, like Wayne demonstrated, I lightly dusted my face with my Chanel medium color loose powder. Then I went for it & put one pump of my The Ordinary Serum Foundation on the back of my hand & used my finger to gently dot it on my face using my foundation brush to buff it out over the powder. And you know what? It worked just like he said it would. I was expecting a cakey mess, but nope. My skin was covered yet it felt light & the annoying little line between my eyes was surprisingly camouflaged! I applied a little concealer but way less than I normally use. I went about my day schvitzing from the heat & blotting my face with a tissue as one does. Usually on hot days my makeup melts off & when I go to remove it with my wipes there's nothing left, but not this time. I couldn't believe when I took my makeup off tonight how much came off on the wipes. This technique really made my makeup last all day & night. I'm amazed.

As someone with psoriasis, I am accustomed to layering on foundation, and because the lesions can be raised with texture, I eventually had to switch to mineral foundation to keep it from creasing around/on lesions. I just combined this trick with the one of adding a drop of oil to my foundation and I just got great coverage with only a small fraction of the liquid foundation I have been using. Complete win, my skin does not feel smothered at all and uneven coloring is fixed. Thank you so much.

***** Tried it today, as I was in two minds about going out and didn't honestly expect it to work. (I have rosacea and don't go out without make-up.) Yes, I needed much less foundation, and (possibly because of this), yes it set really quickly. I also didn't need the layer of panstick I usually put on between the anti-red make-up and the mineral powder. Eight hours later (having been out and without touch-ups) it's as fresh as would normally be after an hour or two.

***** I have combination skin and actually tried this trick yesterday, using MUFE HD translucent powder on top of moisturizer/primer. Then my foundation and powder again. Went out in humid NYC weather and within 20mins it started sliding and caking big time :( I didn't expect that to happen, because the foundation I used is the same one I always use and it doesn't cake. I was sweating a bit tho, due to the weather and maybe this doesn't work for when you sweat? Anyways, that's my feedback.

Hello Wayne, I don't wear concealer, foundation or any cover up but will start wearing a little to start wearing some makeup which I am fairly new to. I always wear SPF, Where does it fit in this routine or any in general. I use my obagi kit so last is spf then I wear becca backlight on top or just the shimmering skin perfector to highlight which just does everything for me. Very simple. I own most shades. I am learning to contour etc. hoping that's the correct order or now charlotte t wonderglow, will look into getting her light foundation. Now with summer coming, I am concerned which comes before what. Please help clarify this for me. Thank you.

Yah ! After applying Very little powder just enough to counter the excessive slippery feel of the primer. Make sure not to over powder it coz that will make it hard for the foundation to glide on properly. Use the concealer after the foundation coz it creases a lot less under the eye n also doesn't slip from the places where we usually color correct n cover blemishes Sidra Fernandez

Wish I saw your comment a long time ago! I too have a very oily nose and my foundation always looks splotchy after several hours. To get it to stay all day, I use my face primer all over except for my nose and eyelids. I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer on my eyelids AND my nose! Then I spritz a little setting spray right on my nose, wait till it dries, and then I apply my foundation. It seriously lasts all day - no breaking down, no looking splotchy and it doesn't cause me to break out. The eye primer is made to absorb excess oil from your eyelids so your shadow goes on smoothly, doesn't crease and lasts all day and it really truly works for your nose too! I swear by this technique and it has truly been a life saver for me.

I saw this tip years ago and have discovered that it is absolutely a menopause-miracle tip. My makeup wouldn’t last an hour when I started going through “the change” (as my mom would say), but truly, this is THE solution. Thank you, Wayne!

My pores are huge! Let me tell you this is the truth. I know this is an old video before the ladies with oily skin and large pores don't fret because that's less wrinkles for you. If you try this makeup routine you will love it!!

aMusingMisFIT-tingINMaYhem MouSe Instead of a brush for powder, have you tried just a little bit of powder on a cotton pad and lightly press it on? Or, if it's too much moisturizer, take a tissue and press it lightly over your face to blot the excess before you powder. Just ideas. It's possible that you have very dry skin and need a stronger moisturizer.

This 5 yr old video was recommended to me last week. I have combo skin and I tried the powder under foundation trick Wayne discusses in this video. OMFG IT WORKS!!! I didn’t have to touch up my face ALL DAY. I normally re-powder my face 5-6 times a day in my t-zone area and look a mess at the end by the day. This tip is a real game changer! I used Ciate setting powder under my foundation and when I was done applying my makeup I used a very little touch of Becca Hydra Mist as a finishing powder. Thank you so much, Wayne! Love you! 😘
