Apparently, this tablet supports the Lenovo Precision Pen 3 which is a pressure-sensitive stylus. The price seems really good for this tablet, considering its performance and the DEX-like desktop mode is fantastic. It's about $385 for the 4GB model in Canada.

I was just able to get the 6GB model in the US during Lenovo's annual sale for less than $300, jump on it while you can! However I cannot find the precision pen anywhere lol

They don't have a problem making the hardware, their problem is supporting it after the sale. Their update record is trash, unfortunately.

lenovo has a bunch of variations of essentially the same tablet in flavors of windows (duet 5i) and chromebook (duet 3, 5). I'm interested to see a similar setup with the chromebook as you get longer service support vs android.

Chrome OS could be a better choice than android, because you can still use the android apps and app store and you have the desktop mode directly on the tablet.

I like watching your videos because you go in depth about the capabilities.

I hope you make a emulation focused video with this tablet cuz so far it looks dreamy

This setup seems like it would be awesome for DS or 3DS too. Just use the tablet as the bottom screen and the TV as the upper screen

Thanks for posting this review. It's very clear and concise. With the tablet connected to the secondary screen, can it be used to copy what is being done on the tablet? That is, what you see and do on the tablet is the same as the big screen. I'm thinking of a presentation where I can use the tablet and others in the meeting room can see what I'm doing. P. S. Nice plant on the desk.

This is the killer feature that android tablets should be marketing hard. Apple’s mouse support is crap compared to this! What good does it do to have a more powerful processor if your gimped by IOS?

I've been a fan of Android devices doubling as a small desktop replacement for years, but because I never found quite the right mix of what I was looking for I ultimately wound up taking the opposite direction: an i7 16gb 12.5" touchscreen Dell Ultrabook that dual boots into Android x86. Aside from middling battery life, it checks all the boxes of a productivity machine for me: portability, power, functionality and flexibility.

I have been watching this for a while. Thank you so much for the review! I still play Minecraft with my son and really am looking for a tablet that plays it well. My 2020 iPad Pro is pretty laggy when I load larger worlds and I’m curious if you had a chance to check out Minecraft on this tablet. I mistakenly sold my xiaoxin padpro 2021 for the iPad and don’t want to make the mistake again because the 870 ripped on Minecraft. I’m wondering if the kompanio does well with it also.

When in productivity mode can it use desktop USB connected webcam for video conferencing scenarios? This is a key aspect of desktop display docker tablet experience that Samsung dex mode and ipados desktop extended mode have yet to deliver.

Hi, I guess you won't see this comment but I'll try anyway! As a disabled person one of my issues with Samsung Dex is that you can't use voice typing in Dex mode. Can you use voice typing with this Lenovo in desktop mode? Thanks

Maybe I missed it, but did you use a 1080p, 1440p, or 2160p monitor? The overly large scaling makes multiwindowing useless to me if I can't tile everything and have it still feel like I'm getting a fully functional experience out of each app. Does the desktop mode scale differently with different resolutions? I know I'm a weirdo, but I've even given up on 1080p windows anymore because the screenspace you get to work with is tiny and they don't let you 'zoom out' further on desktop beyond 100%.

I think its desktop mode is garbage, nobody has reviewed it. No one knows the screen resolutions as well.

i think there will be y700 for international version. Currently only have y700 chinese version. this is 8.8 inch sd870. But I am looking for 10 inch which is more comfortable for my single hand hold rather than 11 inch. I will wait for redmi pad 2, or mi pad 6 non pro version.

$229, not a bad price for a tab with the performance near a SD870 with video out, optional Pen 3 support to compete with 2022 ver S6 Lite, shame they raised the price to 300-340, but then again even the S6 Lite 2022 raised their price. Not fond of the missing 3.5 jack. I'm only seeing a 4 and 6GB option, both with 128GB ROM on ebay and their main site.

Planet Earth. It was $229 in the USA up until last Sunday. Now (when I last checked a couple days ago) it's $300 for the spec ETA tested. Keep in mind he's American and his prices are in US dollars. The trade off for no government healthcare is apparently low(er) taxes and cheap tech.

I opened the video to see that Game cute controller there and it wasn't on the video at all 😭...

Its sad they didnt sale it in indonesia The tablet market here sucks
