    Many years ago, at least 5 or 6, I bought an RCA 10" tablet at Walmart for around $150. The guy at the counter in electronics said I would really like it. He was right. I have been using it every day for over an hour to read the news and it has been excellent. Websites load and scroll quickly. Display quality excellent for the purpose. I don't game or do anything else that might be CPU intensive. Lately, I am beginning to think the battery may be getting weak as it doesn't seem to last as long and seems to take longer to charge fully. I presume that is to be expected with these devices. I never thought of RCA as a brand for computing devices like tablets (they last made computers in the 60's) but this has been a winner for an economy tab.

    I got one on Aliexpress a few weeks back for around 160 dollars (120 on sale + 40 for import fees) which is around 840 reais in Brazil's currency. There isn't anything better in Brazil for this price right now, so it was a good deal for me! I'm enjoying the tablet's performance overall, even though the screen is lackluster indeed (I bought it knowing it wasn't gonna be great haha). Anyway, great video! Love your channel and I think it's the first time you're reviewing something I actually own! 😁

    Hello from the UK . Excellent review , although I'm not a very technical person , it helped me to get a better idea of this device . I currently own a P20 HD made by teclast . And I have to say it's been really good so far . It's handled a year or so of Netflix , emails , Facebook , KZread etc . But it coming to a point where I want to get something newer , & with a little better spec , but not pay a fortune out . I keep seeing Samsung and iPad pushed , but if I even look at a device which is 4g enabled , then I'm looking at about £780 . I need for 4g , as I'm living on a boat , so simply having a wifi only device isn't an option . I was looking at the teclast t50 launch , but having seen a single place online in the UK which stocks it , I also haven't seen any real reviews of it either . So it leaves me wondering if it is equipped with the same level of screen this device I equipped with , which would be much of an upgrade for me . Could you recommend any other devices which have decent specs , but aren't going to ask close to the £780-1000 mark ? I don't mind paying closer to £450 is it's a justified spend . The draw o the teclast ,is it's so cheap if it goes wrong , you simply buy another device .

    I bought the Teclast T8 in 2018, it has been from one issue to the other. first, it was the touchpad, then sometimes it reboots on it"s own. You can imagine doing something and all of a sudden your tablet just goes off on its own and switches on again. Saying that I'm disappointed is an understatement. Finally, the battery got swollen and pushed up the screen. The reason I bought it then was that I needed a Tablet with a good storage capacity and at the same time not too expensive but unfortunately, it was not one of the best decisions I have ever made.

    Seems decent, how does it compare to Vankyo which is Octa-core as well. I have several of the Vankyo’s and was a bit disappointed in their gaming performance. This one seems to have a bit faster cpu, 1.6 vs 2.0, not sure if that makes a big difference or not.

  • @grape1829

    @grape1829

    3 жыл бұрын

    Try comparing the benchmark scores on ETA's videos. This one probably blasts the Vankyo you're looking at. But you know what, it really depends on your budget. The Amazon Fire Tab 10 inch (2019) is the only that is decent on all fronts (except for the camera which sucks on all of these) and is maybe even the cheapest of them all. They were sold for like $67 last month to get rid of inventory so there are still people selling them on eBay for just over $100. The new version for 2021 is available on Amazon for $150. Not sure when they're going to have their first big sale on them. The big killer on these budget Chinese tablets is usually at least one of the following: 1) crappy crappy screen, 2) crappy crappy CPU, 3) crappy crappy speakers, and 4) no Widevine DRM (which means you can only watch 480p on Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Go, etc). There are also very few or zero aftermarket batteries or screen protectors. The Amazon Fire Tabs with at least 2GB RAM should be decent on all of these fronts.

    I have the current iteration and, quite frankly, for the money any criticism is just nit picking. I bought three of them for the family and I haven't heard a single moan. It ISN'T a bad screen but it's not top end. Certainly very useable.

    The same SOC is in the Alldocube iPlay40, which you reviewed, but it has a better screen, more RAM and it is in the same price range.

    Now listed on Amazon for $210. Typical. I've seen the more expensive items I've bought go up in price immediately after I buy one. I'm sure it's a price/demand algorithm at work.

    Yup this is the tablet I'm using for my emulation gaming and ya the screen isn't the best but I don't really notice the difference anymore......plus the build quality isn't the best....its pretty heavy and you feel like its own weight is gonna crack the screen or it's gonna snap in half Also the screen protector has air bubbles and is slowly starting to come up near the bezzles.....other than that the performance is great and it has zero bloatware out of the box......Im happy with it overall
