This Electric Trike Is A Couch On Wheels - Puckipuppy Husky Electric Tricycle Review

I've seen many comments requesting an electric trike review, so here ya have it. This is the first electric tricycle I ever tried and it was actually a lot more fun than I was expecting. The handling of an e-trike takes a bit of adjustment since they don't lean. If you are coming from the ebike or even regular bike world it will come natural. Electric trikes feel weird in turns because they don't lean (or shouldn't at least, because they can tip). This electric trike tops out at 20 mph which feels like all you should ever really do on one of these things. You don't need to balance, or even pedal for that matter with the built in throttle. Range and hill climbing on this trike was better than I expected.

    There are times you can look at a bike and say nope. Then you take another look and a ride and see things a little differently. Then you start thinking of the practical abilities and say maybe and before you know it you have one.

    Open differentials don’t send power to the wheel with the least resistance. They always send exactly the same torque to both wheels. If one wheel is in the air, it barely takes any power to make it spin. So that is exactly the same amount of power the other wheel gets. Which is not enough to move the bike

    This is why I like this channel. Good job sir. Even though this isn't my cup of tea I like how fair your reviews are. For example, this bike may be the ticket for someone who is slightly disabled, or elderly, or even someone that wants a "grocery go getter" without having to spend money of gas. It would have been awesome if you did a little video on "Ok, let's go get some groceries" or something similar that gives a real world application for something like this. It doesn't have to be long, hell here is a 5 min video of me loading up the trike with a few essentials. Trust me my last bike was a Bandit 1200, it's all slow to me. 🙂However, for people that are getting into 2 or 3 wheel sports this may be a segway or a sensible solution for personal transport. I'm loving my Jansno X50 version 2, I'm doing some upgrade videos, what pitfalls to look out for, how to improve performance to help people as well. Your videos are helping people, well done. Thank you very much for the effort and excellent videos. Keep that rubber side down.

    Hi, Can you give me an opinion on the sunny sf-B1001/s? I have seen your video about the SF-B 1002 but that bike is no longer worth 200 USD or it is no longer on sale. This one I'm talking about is worth 140 USD on Amazon with a discount right now, so I have doubts, I think it could be a toy and I'm not determined to buy it. I know it doesn't provide many metrics, and it's also due to friction, and the flywheel weighs 30lb. It doesn't seem bad but I would like to know your opinion, of course I have a low budget. I need to buy 10 bikes for a boutique gym, I don't need them to be very technological but I do need them to be resistant. Thanks in advance.

Seems like there are several that could be respectable performers in that or close to that price range. Maybe, Just for fun, hopping up some of the bikes you have just for fun might be cool too. I wonder if just a high power controller would get a few MPG or something. Keep 'em coming.

    Etrike (?) yeah its a thing, might be ok for the suburbs. I was showing them to my sister as this type "might" be an addition to the golf cart for retirement communities (?) the etrikes Ive seen are limited to 16mph & really that might be pushing it (?) stability as you know is different :O when the trike runs outta juice? ez pedal home - golf cart? uh a little more trouble. but both have their uses. my thought? get both and use the cart for the rare occasion you want passengers. *of course there are rickshaw model Etrikes too, buut kinda big. so an addition! get a cart then an etrike or? Ive been looking awhile & thought of one model first, then another model. . . (Still open to see others) my last is a bit more $,But maybe better built? & has a reverse option? sixthreezero & shops in Calif so maybe worth a look? [a real shop?] a place to test drive one? wow might be worth a look?

    It looks like a knockoff of the AddMotor Trike. Do some reviews on Utah Trikes reverse electric trikes and e-quads. You'll love going full throttle on those. Try out their dual rider e-quad with between 10-20 e-bike batteries, range of up to 500 to 1,000 miles on PAS level 1, payload capacity of 500 to 1,000 pounds! They ride lower to the ground so the issue of flipping their e-trikes on a tight turn might not be such a big deal.

  • @TailHappyTV

    @TailHappyTV

    Ай бұрын

    It certainly can't hold 40 mph for 200 miles. Holding 40 mph requires ballpark 2000 watts of power depending on weight, rolling resistance, and wind resistance. The battery on that bike is like 3120 watt-hours. Looking at the math theoretically, If you hold 2000 Watts of power for 1.5 Hours the battery will be drained to empty (2000W * 1.5 Hours = 3000 watt hours). Assuming 2000 watts will keep the bike at 40 mph that would yield a range of 60 miles on one battery charge, which isn't bad. In order to hit 200 miles you would need to go significantly slower. I would guess you'd get closer to 100 miles realistically plus or minus 20% depending on many factors. Hope this helps.

Doesn't make ANY sense to have wide and knobby tires at all since it can't do any offroading. 3. Doesn't make a lot of sense to have a separate battery if your lower frame is so spacious. Why not conceal it in the frame? WHY?!
