Absolutely! This video made me cry. Imagine doing this to an animal. Though sadly, people have done things like this to other people as well. I'm so glad this dog was saved.

Unfortunately, and it also breaks my heart to think about it, but 10,000s of dogs around the world are being treated like this or worse. I don't know if we can ever solve it.

How any human could confine any living being for so long is just so very sad. Even if he had food and water for some or most of the time, the sheer boredom and literal lack of freedom that comes with being tied up is a severe injustice. No living creature should ever have to experience that. It’s the cruel indifference that speaks volumes.

If you go over to the 'Takis Shelter' channel, he rescued a dog about a week ago that was chained on a 3-4 foot chain for NINETEEN years. The poor dog could hardly walk. Takis took him in and they have let the dog (whom they named Elvis) roam as he pleases. Now Elvis wants to explore everything and he is already walking much better. Go check him out, as there are several videos of him. 🙂

I mean. Animal agriculture kind of makes this behaviour normalized. Many animals are confined. By the billions. Across the globe. So some people see it as normal to lock up “property”

How do people get a pet and turn around and abandon it to a chain? Pretend they are just another decoration to ignore in their daily lives and not see the soul burning inside of those little bodies? Just freaking criminal. Thank you for your humanity & love 💗

I think (in their minds) they buy a big dog and people won't break in cause they see it. It's almost (in their minds) like having a CCTV camera out on display. Which is sad.

I will never understand the cruelty towards helpless animals.....He is one of the lucky ones....

Kitty, good comment. I always think about all the Animals that are imprisoned in factory farms,suffering everyday until they are violently killed.

It would have broken his heart to be uprooted from the only good place he's ever known. Glad you kept him.

Hooch has trained his dad to "go fetch" so well 😆😆

So happy you decided to keep this sweet but very lonely doggo, he has his forever home thanks to the both of you his humans.

I love these stories. We put the work in to bring a few dogs into our house a gain thier trust and not pass them off to someone else.

I absolutely love foster fail stories! Please don't get me wrong, I know that fostering has to happen in order for more animals to be saved.
