My husband was like that with his big GSD Heidi. She trusted him implicitly. I trusted him to keep the three of us safe on many wilderness jaunts. He was a great outdoorsman. We lost him in 2015. Life will never be the same. RIP my love

Heidi was the name of my first dog, a sheepdog who protected me when I was a baby. One of my first memories is of brushing the hair from her eyes and looking into them, feeling connected to another soul.

I train dogs for a living and my guess would be approx 99% of dogs on earth would lose their minds at take off. That’s if they made it past the rest of the “pre-flight” checklist. This is very impressive. Your attention to detail about both of y’all’s comfort/safety is admirable.

There are some military working dogs that jump out of airplanes with special forces personnel. Of course aside from training their dogs are somewhat "special" as well, so that in no way disputes your claim that 99% would freak out. :)

The dog wasn't letting his Dad hug him after they landed because he was overloaded on adrenaline. While the guy is hugging him he's thinking "Sorry, Dad but I'm too wired for a hug. I'M ALIIIIIIIVVE!!!!! WHOOO!!!!!"

Ouka was so cuuuuute when he was flying and it's like his paws were his wings. He was like flapping it a bit. HAHAAHHA.

I love all dogs and animals!! He is beautiful 😍 what a truly wonderful pup child!! Made tears come out of my eyes....I am so glad I saw this!! Fly safe you guys!!!

I love how they land and the dog starts sniffing the ground and acting like nothing happened. I was literally laughing so hard.

He was enjoying all the smells. I read that the reason dogs love hanging their heads out of windows is because their noses get hit with these smells & it's like a high for them.

Probably no different to the dog than riding in a car with their head out the window.

Having had dogs for most of my life. That has got to be the most euphoric experience you could give a pooch. The ultimate "head out of the car window" thing of all-time.

What a good boy! Very beautiful too! He’s living his best life. I am so happy for you and him. What a blessed experience.

I can only imagine the dreams Ouka has of flying, it really seems like this is something he has wanted all along.!
