The entire premise of the OP is that the Bohemia developers forgot to fix some bugs and quietly sent in some poorly paid developers to clean up their bugs.

MTF-Charlie 9: Addendum Unbeknownst to most Foundation personnel, MTF-Charlie 9, Ignis, is not a regular MTF detachment. MTF-Charlie 9, is actually a group of entities generated by SCP-7822, designated SCP-7822-2-MTF, whose sole purpose is to engage in combat with SCP-7822-1 instances to create a region of perpetual war and anomalous occurrences. The purpose of this is unknown. After its manifestation, SCP-7822-2-MTF, contacted SCP MTF Command through anomalous means and reported their mission, to aid in containment, it was deemed that they be provisionally recognized as MTF-Charlie 9.

My Version: MTF CHARLIE 9 '' Ignis ": Addendum. On the 4th of [REDACTED], 20||, MTF Charlie 9 " Ignis " was sent on a Operation to eliminate SCP 7822. The area which was effected produced many hostiles and objects from around the city were lifted up into the sky. MTF Charlie 9 expierenced heavy casualties from the mission but completed the objective. Charlie 9 was later reinforced with operators from other MTF units and recruits. Unknown to most, MTF Charlie 9's veteran members have been recently classified as SCPs due to their nature. These operators are presumed to be reality benders, 7822-1 instances or from alternate realities. Such operators include Echo 9-1 " Quail ", Hitman 6-5 " Gems ", Echo 9-3 " Terry T. Tuna ", Echo 9-2 " Tails ", Hitman 6-2 " Scorch " and the commander of the MTF, Alpha 1-1 " Rubix " or " Jay ". They are currently being investigated further and are expected to be contained soon.

As with anytime we do an SCP operation it begs the question if the unit trying to terminate the SCP is more anomalous in nature than the SCP It's self. I like to think that with the SCP missions, everybody killing everyone is canon. Every single merc was given secret orders to kill the others, and the SCP Foundation just mops up whoever's left.

10:06, you are correct that is what happens in Wisconsin, also the rocks have a migratory season so we tend to avoid late fall till early spring. Oh and the rocks range in size, however most are juveniles as larger and older rocks tend to settle down.

Honestly they sent Charile (Ignis) because they wanted to test out the SCP’s capabilities and get rid of a Charile without causing a fuss in the Foundation. They were surprised to learn that Charile actually made it past the 3 minute mark and even more surprised when they succeed.

Scp 349 aka the ignite corps. Object class: keter Containment procedures: SCP 349 must always be supervised and monitored with state of the art cctv and webcam footage to monitor their performance on the field while kitted with the latest foundation equipment. Aside from that the ignis corps itself is the containment. With the slightly more saner members such as Jay [REDACTED] aka “RubixRaptor” being one of many voices of reason to an otherwise insane group of people. Description: SCP 349 is an entire collection of humanoid anomalies that by one way or another can’t be killed. No matter how many times they are shot, stabbed or ripped apart they always manage to spawn back to certain points in foundation facilities or on the field. That being said this slight immortality has turned the entire faction mad. Most of the fatalities to the ignis corps on the field are most likely from themselves. From fist fights during the mission or accidental and often sometimes intentional blue on blue cases. Despite this slight insanity of the group they are effective at what they do. Tracking and either killing or containing their own kind. The anomalies and oddities they encounter along the way may actually increase the lack of mental stability but for now they seem to be harmless to foundation personal that are not their own. Besides the rampant insanity within the regiment there is a case of a familial bond that are common place with infantry personnel a bond of fire and blood like no other. Their antics are more for fun than malice. But malice is what they are known for. That is why the foundation has found it fit to make SCP 349 a MTF for the more suicidal missions. Many of which are redacted in our own logs.
