This DITCH is FULL of FISH! (Unexpected Creatures)

Спорт

In this video, I head to a small creek running through a ditch!
The entire creek is a few inches deep, but there is a deep hole completely FULL of fish and other creatures! I end up catching some pretty cool fish, and eventually some pretty big fish, out of this tiny body of water!
It is crazy what you can catch out of random areas like this!
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING! Please leave a LIKE for more creek videos!

Growing up me and my brother would walk along the bayou till we found small, deep holes (normally by drainage pipes).. I've caught several 3+ lb bass from holes just like this! Those drainage creeks get a lot of water from rain and are full of water often and then come summer the water gets like this in the video and ALL the big fish are bundled up in a small hole. I live in Houston, we have bayou's and drainage creeks like this everywhere.

@@TyPigPatrol Yea, they can see it if the water is clear enough. Like I tried to say, you have to make the fly presentation close to where you visually see them so they see it. Seems to work best in moving water though but it'll work in stagnant water as well. They feed mainly on algae, small insects & larvae. They'll actively hop on & eat small insects, flies & larvae being washed downstream or near them. They'll also actively search for food as well. Aquarium pleco's will actively eat flake, pellet, worms, lettuce, peas as well as wood & algae. They're really not picky eaters. They're said to be quite tasty & I think you should do a catch & cook. *How to clean & cook Pleco on the half shell* kzread.info/dash/bejne/lWyNj9ycZLPWgJc.html Make sure you get them from a reasonably clean water source though. I don't think I'd even eat Bass, Crappie or Bluegill out of most of those city retention ponds you fish.

The most common is Chiclid. I actually like Chilid. Just made me laugh. I use 8 pound test as my go to line and leader for carp. We get some bruisers around here, but I find anything heavier really compromises the catch rate. They really are flighty fish and a heavy leader is a sure way to spook them off the bait, especially in the clear water we usually have.

That pleco was cool! The Everglades is absolutely full of them I was surprised when I drove down there on my way to the keys. We stopped a few boat ramps along the freshwater areas and they were all over the boat ramps sucking algae off.

Ty PigPatrol looked like it. Some over 2 feet and they were all over down there. I live in Tampa midway through the state but they were all over the Everglades. As well as tons of big oscars and also peacock bass. We were in a hurry because we had a specific time to be in the keys but I saw so many people fishing all through those canals along there it was incredible.

Well it's a tiny hole of water and the fish there are STARVING. Me and my dad fished a ditch once with the same issue. We pulled out the sickest looking large bluegill you have ever seen. They were sickly and wasted away. It was sad to see fish looking so thin and weak. These fish don't look like that but if it doesn't rain things will only get worse. It's a damn ditch and nature is taking it's course just like it would in a real stream that is drying up.

I use a Bodine Mk 3 graphite custom 6 lb rod and a Whelan custom machined reel (out of billet). The drag material is zxalon, a new synthetic/ceramic with amazing heat dissipation and unparalleled smoothness. I have caught 50 plus lb fish on this outfit. You should try it, that carp would have been in the net in a few minutes.
